Here's a tip: for your swing get your arms like you would serve and for serving do bow (non dominate arm extended holding ball) arrow (arm back behind you and bent with your non dominate arm still forward) step (step forward as you go for the hit)than of course you hit as hard as you can and make sure you do not stop when you hit it let your arm go all the way down.Just like when you throw a baseball you don't stop when your arm is up you go all the way down in the swing motion. Do that as you serve for the best power in your hit.
i used to play volleyball in 1st-6th grade just as part of PE or during intrams. i was an ok volleyball player (since im really a basketball player) so i have experience. i was watching Haikyuu and realized... i never spiked a ball, EVER. all i did were serves and receives/keeping the ball in play. come to think of it... i dont think anyone of use were spiking at all... we just bounced the ball back and forth and whoever had a klutz on their team and drops the ball losses the point
