Hello Sir. After I type both the "echo" commands and restart the Windows terminal, the following line is displayed on the top of the page "/home/karthikeya_sk/.zshrc:120: command not found: 49.205.72.130:0". Could you please tell why is this happening?
Open both files in notepad and remove last line. Only command line which we have added should be last.
@@DDFluids Thank you, Sir. Worked successfully.
thanks a lot, you work is amazing, keep going forward, best regards froms Chile

Is it something to worry? Is something missing? :(
Can you run any tutorial case and check whether it is giving any error or not?
Hello Divyesh,
After executing all commands and removing the last line in both .zshrc and .bashrc files. Still, the "gedit &" is not working and no window is opening as shown in the video. After typing, "gedit &" I am getting:-
Unable to init server: Could not connect: Connection refused ✔
(gedit:3447): Gtk-WARNING **: 23:02:01.876: cannot open display:
Can you help me out with this?
I got the same issue please advice
same error in my case as well bro.
Try 3rd option explained in the text.
@@DDFluids still no luck.
Hello, I am getting following error, while using the command "gedit &"
"(gedit:1167): Gtk-WARNING **: 16:20:29.595: cannot open display: 172.16.100.3"
I also tried to follow the instruction that is given in text document, in case of error but that also is not working out.
Use the command "export DISPLAY=:0" before "gedit &"
I got the same issue, please advise
Unable to init server: Could not connect: Connection refused ✔
(gedit:863): Gtk-WARNING **: 19:17:16.177: cannot open display: :0
in 4:13 you get an error. it will go away with sudo apt-get update and sudo apt-get upgrade :)
Thanks
@@DDFluids with pleasure! Wslg is comming this year and we will. Not need these extra steps! 😊. Also I recommend you notepad++ for openfoam in windows. Also another thing I have done is to configure windows so the files without extensions opens directly with notepad++ this is a life changer!. And also with shift +right click in a folder you can open Linux shell in that folder. (you can edit the registry to show with right click too)
@@francootaola9172 how did you change the notepad++ thingy? and the shift right click method= :)
Thanks, this command helped:
notepad.exe ~/.zshrc
Modify "export DISPLAY=X.X.X.X:0" line as shown below,
export DISPLAY=0:0
sir , Please help me with this
~/OpenFOAM/nizam-v2012/run ❯ cd CHT
cd: no such file or directory: CHT
Hi Divyesh, youre doing a great job by sharing your insights on using OpenFoam with such detailed explanations. I'm getting the following error after gedit & and trying all the solutions you've provided in the drive link: Unable to init server: Could not connect: Connection refused ≡
(gedit:11193): Gtk-WARNING **: 10:40:07.953: cannot open display: 0:0
[1] + 11193 exit 1 gedit
