- Hear the story of Liverpool MMA star Shem Rock. After getting into trouble with the law during his teenage years & being accused of a crime he didn't commit, Shem fled to Thailand where he fell in love with Brazilian jiu-jitsu, before going to Malaysia and finding a coach that put him on the straight and narrow - leading him to win professional titles in the sport. But as he grew more successful, his past started to catch up with him. This is his story of how he dealt with that adversity, battling with his past to training with the likes of Paddy Pimblett on his way to being signed by Oktagon.

Speaking as a 41 yr old Geordie bloke. Good job i never made vocational excuses on same logic as Shem because my head teacher had a citroen dolly 2cv (upside down pram) lol

Must say I didnt like Shem much first when he apear on Oktagon, but after seeing this I change my mind on him. He has big mouth but big heart and it is remarkable journey. I am also proud of Oktagon journey they create this video and they pushing from small country organization to europe level.

I heard about Shem a couple of years back and his story. He's a mega humble, hard working absolute talent and I'm proud to sponsor him. Some people talk the good talk about turning their life around but Shem does is with integrity. Watched a podcast of shems a while ago he’s a proper boss fella sound as fuck people stereotype them but near enough most scousers I’ve ever met are salt of the earth 👌abd shem is really inspirational n helping the young kids giving back brilliant stuff I’m glad he found his niche, fighting I wish him all the best in his mixed martial arts career I hope he has a lot of success respect Shem brother 🤝👏👏
