During September, we are raising awareness about atrial fibrillation (AFib), a life-threatening heart condition. It is important to know the signs and symptoms of AFib and when it’s time to go to the Emergency Room. If you or a loved one are experiencing chest pain, shortness of breath or fainting, call 9-1-1 and ask to be taken to the Heart Hospital of New Mexico at Lovelace Medical Center.
