- Another GBBR has been adopted into my collection, the HK G36C Version 2 GBBR by VFC.
I was intrigued by VFC’s re-released G36 and I had to try it out. Apparently it’s part of a limited production run, in which rumours speculate that they had surplus parts cluttering up the factory and they decided to make some room. Whether that’s true or not, I don’t know.
Anyway, I’m very much enjoying it. I can compare its action to the GHK G5. Compact, lightweight and with a sharp snappy kick. I like this one.

VFC GBBRs have come so far, recently got the MPX, MCX and FAL, they're all great.
They’re doing very well indeed.
I would like to see them re-release their Knights M4 SR-16 DX with V3 internals. Old school cool
The number of really cheap airsoft G36Cs has sort of ruined the gun for me. Would be interested to know if the externals on this hold up!
Well its VFC, so theyll find a way always to make it really, really good.
@@Leo-gl4lb True that, apart from their paint, the VFC externals are sick. Good polymer is a world apart from cheap plastic.
i jsut bought one for myself a month ago. Can really recomend, great externals, feels supersolid
External is not the issue, you should concern about the internal since it is VFC made by alloy parts, it will certainly break
One thing why the g36s are cheap is because externals are plastic on the original
Id love to see a G36K version, it's my favorite variante even tho Im not the biggest fan of g36s the K variant goes hard

Going to be a while before a full review comes. And even then it’ll miss one crucial point. Reliability. Have to play the long game in that regard. It could completely discombobulate next week!

This one has got my eye aswell. I've found out that there are also handguards to make it from a C to a K or an E. Well, they are more modern M-lok. But still it can be done!

In the past, everyone used WE G36 because the performance of G36v1 was really poor.However, v2 still has several limitations. The hop up regulator is very fragile. My solution is to drill holes and screws to adjust the hop up

In much the same way as their MP5’s. The VFC is more accurate to the original. Features are scaled and replicated virtually 1.1.
WE-Tech is not as well defined. Elements of its appearance and internal design is way off.
VFC is the very best G36 airsoft replica you can get.
Performance wise…..I don’t know. Anyone wish to see a versus video at some point?

The have some problems with the bolt, my friend have replaced 3 bolts in 6000 rd, which they all suffer from cracking.
There is at least one difference between this one and the older V2’s. The bolt carrier doesn’t have the piece that is pinned inside of it. Those were know to break off.

They aren’t producing these anymore. At least that’s what I’ve heard. This was part of a limited batch. If you like the look of them, and how they shoot - just buy one. You might not have the chance later on.

This thing with the (rare) double CO2 cartridge mags is an absolute beast performer!
Durability idk, also refilling mags is a hassle though.

Its not harder kicking in any way with co2 than with the regular ones. Had the same thoughts before having Them. Only the gasventing after the game should be done very carefully. The shell is Plastic not a balloon
@@dafoerder You have them? Not harder kicking really? That's a surprise, like usually there's more power behind CO2. I've also seen a video where it seemed to cycle really fast, but could've been high temperature or something.
I thought this too. So i ordered only one at first. Not more fps and not More kick. A sturdier build than the normal ones. Especially in the BB housing section. Lighter in weight, so i hope they break not that easy when dropped. But still not good to overload with a speedloader you must be very carefull or the nozzle will break. Only downside is the evac of the co2. Of you open them to fast they will swell because the gas gets trapped in the shell. Best to open them only slightly and let gas drain fully on the way home. And both slots are parallel. So they have to be inserted relativly simultaniously. I think they tried to solve the biggest issues the had with the gbb ones, but never communicated it to their customer base. Sorry for the Bad english

i noticed at 1:20 there's a gap between the mag and the magwell,not sure if thats how it's suppose to look or even present in the realsteel counterpart.markings look awesome and the v2 looks snappier. nice vid as always
What do you mean by gap? I don’t think it’s supposed to be perfectly flush

@@wiljwong9416 I have owned a real steel G36 clone, a TommyBuilt TG36, and it was like that as well. It’s no big deal.
What's up with the nozzle sticking out so much from the bolt?
The nozzle spring has about 6 coils spaced wide apart, away from the rest of the more traditional tightly compacted spring coils. So it doesn’t snap the nozzle all the way back into the bolt carrier.
When you push the nozzle all the way back in you can hear the spring get crushed.
Same system adopted on their Scar H (which I own)
It is made so the nozzle can center itself on the hop up chamber and "guide" the bolt carrier, so it doesn't slam on it hard (this should minimize wear and chances of breaking the nozzle)

No, if I were to chose one I would likely pick VFC.
WE G36 was the right GBBR at the right time. It was the first of its kind that displayed actual dependable performance. Now it’s been surpassed.
Still more than viable…it’s just showing its age.
Should have just stuck with a generic G36 body. Printing that C on there next to moulded "G36" is such a buzzkill
The review is looking quite good, I'm sure it is one of the best implementations of the HK G36 as a GBBR, but I'm still not really used to the plastic guns although it pretty much resembles the original version. Still happy to see it in the airsoft community.

The G36 is super cool though. Light and handy.
Very realistic too. It even has a gas piston rod which can be manually cycled.

Don't suppose you could share a sneak peek as to how you're getting on with it? I'm considering one over a WE for the real steel compatibility, but the parts availability long term makes me worried especially if it's not all that from factory
It’s super fun. The action is fast and at the same time it’s got a nice kick.

Do you think a 3d printed magwell will enable it to use VFC stanags? Are the general arrangement of the various parts on top of the magazine the same as the stanags?
The nozzle engagement is different. Too different to make it work without relocating the gas feed.
Hopefully clutch precision will come through and release their stanag adapter kit!

I don’t think there are any remaining units in stock left over. Not from what I’ve seen from major Asian retailers.
You could try looking on Ratuken TW. There might’ve been one or two 2023’s for sale. Might require a Proxy to obtain said items though.
I don’t have previous experience any other VFC made G36. As far as I can tell they simplified the bolt carrier by deleting one or more internal parts that were susceptible to wear/damage. I’m not 100% though.
So, this one's mags stay coupled securely? Not that I'd use that feature, why hold up more weight.
You've got to love the G36, I wonder what's so good about the HK416 (G95, whatever) that the Germans are replacing their G36es.
For the moment they’re solidly locked onto one another, but I only attached them to make it easier to carry all my stuff for this shoot.

The Germans and their procurement into their standard issue rifle is a whole messy situation!
in term of weaponry; the german's change is near purely a political reason. German army soldiers claim that theire g36 rifle melt under fire in high temperature. but in fact, that was due to a poorly use of it: any rifle can be damage if you put it to fire until overheating. Many country in europe as adopted the g36: Spain are very happy with it and mock germans saying "maybe our factory is better at build g36" latvia have theire own too and order more and more of it with the IDZ variant. in France, it's use massively in police, and the operators said that is a "very good rifle" but here, we use only shorts variant. as a french law enforcement i tested it on range, and the recoil is like a gbbr that fire 5.56. it's a very fine rifle. even if it's polymer; there is a lots of parts in aluminium, like the new top rail and the new handguard
german as adopted the g95 but before it there was issued with the g36A4 with a lots of improvement, but the ministery of defense see the potential of the hk416 don't say it wrong, it's a very good rifle as well, but theire own is modeled after the specs of the g36: the selector switch is not like an AR but modeled like the g36, the barrel as the same lenght than the g36L. At the bottom of the line, lots of european country switch to AR platform so maybe it's a way to uniformise
416 is sturdy, repliable, has low recoil and also shares the STANAG mags, which is better if you need to get your hands on a mag from an ally soldier from a foreign country in a NATO operation for example

This was my first gbbr and compared to my we tech it's much nicer, the internals are far less likely to break and the build quality is better

For indoor work I’d go with MP7, but I mostly favour the G36 for its versatility.

Various aspects of the VFC G36 excel over the WE. Snappy and harder recoil, construction, among other things.
Although parts and aftermarket upgrades are lacking on the VFC.

It’s virtually a different GBBR all together. Inside and out, it differs greatly from the WE version.
Mags are heavier too, and of course *not* compatible either way.

I’d love to but I don’t have one.
I might invest in another at some point but unfortunately the compatibility with M4 mags is out of the question due to the difference of the G36 nozzle. The gas port is positioned further back, so less than half of the mags gas route would be aligned.
@@BadaBingPictures ah, I see. Thought you had one from your WE G36. Thanks for that bit of info, and saving me money. I really hope VFC or some third party come out with another G36 magazine, perhaps those mags with the ported sides. I think we all can mostly agree, those plastic rounds look terrible, and greatly cheapen the overall look of the rifle! So sad.

I despise all the airsoft mags with the fake rounds in the windows. They all look gash IMO.
On the G36 they’re part of the metal gas tank itself, so that’s how it’s moulded.
I might cover them with black paper or something like that. It really does ruin the realistic quality.
Check out the G36 thread on the Heavy Recoil Club discord server. Work is being carried out to make a stanag adapter available, with the addition of a VFC M4 nozzle. Updates would be posted there

Many are saying the WE is the one to get…mostly those who only own the WE. 😂 What say you?
It’s the same kind of thing with both brand MP5’s. They offer great features. Of course nothing is perfect.
What they both share is they’re cheap. Even the VFC is affordable.
As much as I really really rate the WE, my new VFC has been great fun, and obviously is way more authentic.
I thing that WE G39 gbbr is still better than this(in some point of view)... Plz Change my mind... 🤔

i got both (VFC G36K, WE AEG and GBB G36K) and the WE Quality is really really bad... i have not tried any "hardcore tests", the VFC and the WE both work fine, but the outer Parts Quality is as we like to say here "under the Table", feels extremely cheap, Barrel wobbles, Body/Frame flexes almost like rubber , cant save when uncocked (no go for me), "IDZ" Stocks are just a Toy (got a real one on my VFC, for Comparison). the only good things on WE is the Magazines are ok, VFC's look WAY better and more realistic, still the WEs are only ~40 Bucks in my Country, and spare Parts are available. Thats just my Rant.

It’s not that bad, mate.
Any concerns about the externals will quickly diminish once the trigger is pulled. It’s a damn fun GBBR to use.
Dont' get me wrong, VFC externals are great but I don't think this will beat the WE version.
- This is limited version so if you want this replica, thats impossible
- Limited version so for all the space parts etc, your are fucked
- Upgrade ? Internal are owner so again, no possibility
If something break or work bad (performances), you can just use it as a paper press. This is sad because VFC could give us a masterpiece, I don't understand them for this version. Limited version ? come on ?

I have seen another two batches of G36’s being released since this video came out, so it’s not totally dead after all. It seems.
I am only moderately concerned about parts support with this one. Although it shoots so strongly it feels like it’ll break.
Mine is still here, doing it’s thing.
Umarex has the worst customer service. Once the thing breaks your on your own!!!!
I know man, Umarex don’t really get involved. I usually head straight for the source @VFC support. Or one of their immediate dealers.
