I just use an eighty pound johnston bar to pop up tile, then a floor scraper to pop up what grout stuck to the floor. It worked well. Tho this does look alot nicer than the floor scraper I used, how is it with a wood substrate?

None of those tiles had a modified latex mortar adhered; so if you were on your knees doing it by hand, they'd come up just as fast. Those tiles came clean off. The mortar adhered well to the floor will take time; but will eventually and not from that machine.

I just used a jackhammer trolley for the first time today (different brand than this, but similar). It was a rental from Home Depot and they rent it for 4 hours or all-day. They have 3 separate charges- for the trolley, hammer and chisel blade. The HD I went to had 3 full units in stock and staff was very helpful and switched out an old worn blade for a sharp new one. This machine definitely helps, but it's still grueling work and the machine is large, heavy and awkward. The power cord always seemed to get in the way. Rolling and maneuvering it is a pita esp. if you're working in a small area. Wear ear protection! Eye protection is a no-brainer, but these things are LOUD. You're going to have to make multiple passes to get all the tile and mortar off and get a smooth finish. For my situation, I found that a lower angle on the initial pass worked best. Making the angle more steep seemed to help with the mortar. For the final pass I was holding the unit almost vertically, and past the point that has a locking point. This was the most tiring part but it worked the best. Also, slowing down the speed setting seemed to help with the mortar.

How to remove tiles correctly for selling.
Wec have big demand in market for tiles, Egypt , Japan and many other country community know how to make design on tiles, tiles will become new.
Tiles have stone powder, stone when heated expand and become loosen, I am sending you the link how to heat it.
Another way to heat the tiles is make boiling hot water spread on tiles, heat will go inside tiles to make it hot wait for 15 minutes to 30 minutes . After 20 to thirty minutes strat removing it.
    Tiles cement will become loosen.
For machine, you must put slightly heavyweight on blade to bend towards floor. Don't insert blade on tiles but go back in reverse direction a bit....and press on floor. Damage the floor instead of tiles. You will understand by practice.
Press slightly on floor some distance from tiles, blade will enter from floor towards tiles...By practice we can collect all tiles in good shape.
First hot water or hot flame
    Second pressing on floor.
After removing tiles, back side cement remain attach.
The back side cement will become loosen using hot flame or hot water.
After cleaning we can redesign the tiles.
If some new process recycling tiles is available in market then don't do it.
Purchasing tiles for home is luxurious dreams for many people.
