Kostas, great video. The leather grains do not vanish at the toes and heels like in those C&J boots you reviewed few weeks ago. It is the difference between hand-lasted and machine-lasted. The machine grips the uppers on the toes and heels and stretches over the last. By hands, the shoemaker grips the upper edges to stretch.
Thank you very much Marcio for the contribution, it's great to learn something new every day. I have seen machine lasting at the Carlos Santos factory and that's how it's done indeed.
Seeing you review shoes like a kid in a candy store is refreshing! Less formality and being more casual and honest is lost in most reviews. You can have teasers in your background, like setting up small little clues to your next videos!
@@MisiuAcademy In your old background, you could've made a little story where your stuffed moose/reindeer is coming alive. You can do something like this for a Halloween special review! Black boots with brass hardware. Now that's badass.
I agree with you. They look fabulous. Your subscriber has good taste. The last is to die for and they look even better on feet. Keep the videos coming my friend 😁 P.S you'll notice I have not said this was your best review haha! P.P.S love the updated set-up as well.
Thanks for sharing! I haven't finished the whole video, so I may come back to make an edit - but I really, really love so much about these shoes! These are what I hope my custom-order Yeossals look like - just great-looking grain leather and more... Having said that, I am disappointed about the split-job! I mean, it's probably not that big of a deal to the owner and certainly they are wonderful shoes overall, but the NAME of the type of shoe is Split-Toe! For all the great quality, it just would seem to be THE thing to make magnificent...anyway, I do like them a lot and thanks again!
While you do have a very fair point, it is important to think about another component or perspective when it comes to the split. It is handsewn and for some people this might be a certain reminder/charm that hands made this instead of machinery. I don't have experience in leatherworking and sewing (not until I go to school next year!) but remember that 99% of the companies out there will do the clicking with machine. But as I said, yes it has the possibility to be better or more refined! Glad you enjoy and thanks a lot for watching! They look very much like Saint Crispin's (the influence and shoe school is similar) but I think these are better when I compare the two shoes I had here. What would you like to see next?
Hehe you are all so generous. They are a small company so I don’t feel so comfortable about reaching out to them for a free pair. They sure make some great stuff!
Yes I think this is a great brand I'm really interested in their products, however they are above my budget for now. Can you do a video about Apposta shirts since you have them already. Thanks.
Thanks for watching Ali. I really want to do more clothing videos I just haven’t found the proper way to shoot them and show the fit in my room yet. You can always read my written articles on the blog!
It would be Interesting to know your opinion on shoe brands such as: Paul parkman Maglieriapelle Especially their flagship models. Great content, love the channel.
Hello Ali, I’d love to review them but the high cost means they would have to send me a review pair, as this is a hobby blog. They didn’t reply to my last email unfortunately
@@MisiuAcademy I just ordered my first pair of yeossal actually 😅 really nervous about sizing so we will see how it goes. Looking forward to your take on the brand. Are you able to say what you'll be receiving 👀 no worries if not haha
I just wanted to thank Kostas for a pair of patinated Carlos santos. I know they are not bespoke but for the money I think they are a great deal. Of course The first day I wore them I got fired but at least I looked good.

Interesting!! shoes from Romania! never knew that they have such awesome shoemakers there!
They have a very long tradition of amazing shoes there!
The last is awesome, the non contrasting stitches are good & the aglet also beautiful.
Glad you enjoy!
Great shoes and great presentation!
Thanks David! Long and detailed video this time!
Good to see a fresh face on sartorial videos. Looking forward to more shoe reviews and shoe related content👍
Thanks very much for watching!

Haha maybe if I manage to improve my effects!
Another great in-depth review and another bad joke. A satisfied customer.
Thank you as always Michael! Need to think what to show off next now

@@MisiuAcademy - ah, very good note about the handsewn/charm aspect...! I would like your opinion on Yeossal :) I may send you my pair! :)

I reached out to Yeossal so I am working on something now! 🙏

Hello Nestor, I would love to but it depends when and how I can get my hands on them as this is a hobby!
It would be fantastic if you could review Zonkey's beautiful jodhpur boots. Such an under recognized brand in my opinion.

I ordered the Thompson derby in brown suede with a spade sole on the SG65 Last 🙏
Looks like a very sleek, dressier version of the Dover model from Edward Green.
One of the nicest shoes I’ve tried actually.
Just started watching the video but right off the bat, I get a St. Crispins vibe looking at the toe.
And many thanks Kostas for ALL these higher quality brands you are introducing newbies like me to. Loving it!
Same area, but these are better
