- Four years ago Zelos came out with their ultimate halo watch....the Mirage Tourbillon. Only 11 were offered, and they all sold out in under a minute or two. To my knowledge no video has been made of one....until now. And to my knowledge no original owner has sold one.....until now. This was my ultimate Zelos Grail Watch. And now......it's mine. Please enjoy.....
This truly deserves a 5 minute intro! Haha amazing beauty.
LOL.....you know I just hit record and start talking. No script, just a few notes. I just do it. So some intros are longer. This one, I don't even care if folks are upset about it. This was a very special unboxing for me. A long time coming.

Really? Didn't know that. So this was the second Mirage Tourbillon resold. I imagine it will be a while before another one goes up for sale.

The only one I've seen in real life is Elshan's own Mirage Tourbillon. And I've also yearned to own one since that day...
When I got my chance I didn't hesitate. It was a long chase. Lots of patience needed. But I'm so glad I got there.
That is a beautiful watch. I like box as well. it fits the watch.

@@saleendriverTourbillons were designed for pocket watches which tended to be worn in one position in a pocket. They simulated the different positions that you have automatically with a wristwatch. Of course with older wristwatches too. Sorry for being such a smartass but I am really into horology and started to extend my hobby as a collector into being a hobbyist watchmaker. However, tourbillons are of course a cool and expensive addition to a watch. Even to a wristwatch.

Titanium Damascus = timascus. Also the heating of the Titanium is a form of anodizing and changes color notably depending on temperature

I think, we all know that a tourbillon is useless on a wristwatch but this thing is a looker! Congratulations on that one, sir! 🕐⚙️🍸
Well, I wouldn't say "useless", but with modern movements they certainly are not necessary anymore. But they do add a wonderful complication to a watch. They had their purpose once upon a time.
@@saleendriverThey were developed to compensate gravity effect on pocket watches. In fact they would have a positive effect on a wristwatch if you are a lazy person who doesn’t moves his arm a lot. Even with older wristwatches they would not have a very noticeable effect. Sorry for being such a smart*** but I am really into horology and started to change my career as a watch collector to a career as a hobbyist watchmaker. However it’s of course a cool complication.
Very cool complication indeed. One of the best. I think I went over the history of the tourbillon in the video I did about that Chinese tourbillon i bought a few months ago. Of course you are correct about what you say here. Thank you for the added information.

Thank you for your reaction. Most people feel offended if corrected. Not my crowd. I would feel honored to meet you one day. I like people who like to learn. So am I. Hey if I make a mistake, I should be corrected. My opinion is its HOW the correction is done. You offered up good information in a respectful manner. Many would be rude, insulting little SOBs that would more likely than not cause me to delete the comment rather than use it. So good on you sir for being an actual adult about it.

Its titanium. Very very light.
