    Honestly, this brings me so much joy! I remember almost 10 years ago when I posted my first build on pcpartpicker list I got so much hate just mentioning I was a girl building a computer. I see a lot more women and girls visible in the space now and I'm so happy a new generation will see women building PCs unapologetically and in our "girly" aesthetic. Wonderful job with the build and video! -xo

      yes!!!!! that was the entire reason why i wanted to make this, because when i got all the parts back in february i specifically noticed that there wasn't an actual guide/tutorial by any girls?! they were all by dudes or tech channels who already expect you to have a basic understanding of pcs and what everything is, and as someone VERY new to it i had no idea what anything was! plus i just seemed to struggle to sit through some of them because the information wasn't presented in a way that kept my attention, which only confused me further 😭 i got a lot of hate on tiktok at the start of the year for my pc, but i realised half of it was just senseless misogyny like 'oh she plays kitchen simulator'?? anyways, thank you so much for such a sweet comment, it made my day! 💕💖

      It's crazy that women experience any kind of hate for taking interest in these sorts of things. Makes me happy to see more people getting into the custom PC space, and I'm helping my sister build her first computer too. It's funny because just a couple of years ago, she had absolutely 0 interest in computers, but this year she's been spending a lot of time educating herself on components. When she came to me for help, I was very excited to share what I knew, especially considering I'd tried many times before and failed to get her interested in this hobby! It makes me happy to see more and more people interested in it!

      Even though there is still some hate going on regarding girls in tech, I think the reason why we are seeing a rise is because of the aesthetics theme becoming predominantly bigger over the course of the decade and I love it. Girls can like the same thing as guys as well!

    I have watched *many* pc building videos, but this one is probably the most easily digestible and encouraging? pc build vids I've ever seen. SO many videos overcomplicate themselves and give unnecessary info that can easily overwhelm and discourage newbies. But I love how easy to follow along this is and how, honestly, really simple it is putting together a pc!

  • @msebae

    Great video and awesome build, we need more girl pc builders! Two feedback: 1) The ram slots you need to put 2 sticks in are usually dictated by the motherboard, and will allow for dual channel and XMP - if you put them in the wrong slot your PC won’t boot up. It is not related to distance from CPU for heat avoidance. ASUS is A2 B2, but some mobos may be A1 B1, so you can’t always assume furthest away from CPu. 2) As you can tell after doing your first build, it’s better to put the PSU cables together first and attach to mobo and GPU, before adding all the fans and other things that will crowd your finger space.
    Can’t wait to see your next build!

    • @celestefleurs
      @celestefleurs  2 роки тому +4

      thank you so much, and i appreciate the feedback!!! 💕 i hope to do a full in-depth video on RAM to explain dual-channel better, but i already plan to bring it up with the build i’m currently working on ^^ (it’s a gigabyte mobo, but seems to be the same configuration still!)
      and yes, i’ve definitely realised i should’ve done the cables outside of the case hahah! the order i put things in was partly based on advice i was given, and even though it turned out to be wrong, it’s still a good learning experience imo ☺️

    As a newbie to this whole world of gaming, I was wondering if I can get some advice on how to build my own PC? I guess I'm more concerned about how to know what specific parts to get, and how to know if those specific parts will function well with the other parts of the PC!

    • @celestefleurs
      @celestefleurs  2 роки тому

      thank you, i'm really pleased that it's helpful omg!!
      honestly, it's really hard to make those decisions when you're starting out, and it definitely took me a good few months. don't get impulsive and buy parts just because you're desperate to start building. usually *pcpartpicker* is able to tell you whether the parts are compatible with other parts in your build, so i 100% recommend making a list on there as your base!! you can use mine as a reference if it's helpful, but as for picking parts -try to decide what processor you want to go with; AMD or Intel, look up the pros and cons, etc. then you can go more into depth into looking at which one is best and suits your personal needs, and do the same with all the other parts! try to look up reputable pc brands/manufacturers!

    helpful tip for the power supply, and the case too. if you have a modular PSU(power supply unit) it may help to plug all of your cables in before screwing it in, with her case the corsair 4000d airflow, the panel to the right of the motherboard can come out, so if the 24 pin is being a bit finicky, it can be a lot easier to install extensions that are stiff

    about the ram placements, most ram have a heat shield/covering which is enough. Which slot they go in depends on what the motherboard manual says should be occupied per pair. Usually labelled as A1, A2, B1 and B2. A1 and B1 should be occupied first as that is usually duel channel (depends on the mobo). Doesnt matter if you are using 4 sticks, as long as they are all the same model*.

    • @celestefleurs
      @celestefleurs  2 роки тому +1

      i'm aware of that but explaining what dual channel is and throwing in terms like that can confuse people who are beginners! i deliberately didn't explain any of that because if they're specifically following this guide, they don't need to know extra technical info if they won't know what it means, as long as it's in the right place. whilst it's important for me as the builder/guide to know about dual channel and RAM placements on the motherboard, as long as someone watching trying to recreate it is using the parts list i provided, it's fine to simplify. besides, they can always read the manual for more details about the specifics with memory channels, which i _hope_ people would do beforehand anyway!

      3. it’s honestly just a random one from amazon that i picked!! any of them will do, but if you want i can send you an affiliate link for the specific one? (that also helps me out!)

    4:22 Thats not necessarily why you should do that ram overheating is not an issue to worry about, you should consult your motherboard manual for the silkscreen on the PCB to see which 2 slots to put them in

    Use independent power cables for the graphics card. It can actually be a fire hazard as the draw on the single cable heats up. So use two, don't use the pigtails.

    Dont put your ram furthest away from the "heat generated by the cpu".
    Read your motherboard manual and slot your ram in the correct channel.
    If you have two sticks of ram and your board supports dual channel then slot it in Channel 1A and Channel 1B
    If you only have one then its just Channel 1A

    PC looks great and all, but like there's so much wrong with this build, first off, with all of the cooling you have, you shouldn't be idling at that high of a temp, and it's probably because of a combination of you getting bad fans because they fit with the build and that you PUT THE POWER SUPPLY IN UPSIDE DOWN there's a reason that there is a fan on it, and you should never pump hot air into your PC ever, unless you wanna throttle it and/or shorten the life of your hardware exponentially. Also, if you're going for consistency, then why not go for all pink fans of the same brand? That's a genuine question btw, was your thinking along the lines of better airflow for lack of consistency, cuz I'm confused ab that

  • @CarlosRuiz0794
    @CarlosRuiz0794 2 роки тому

    Probably someone already mentioned this, but if not then: it would be better for the PSU if you put the fan side facing down so it can take air from out of the case. Either way, the build looks great!!!!

    • @celestefleurs
      @celestefleurs  2 роки тому +1

      yeah, i've been aware of it for a few months now, literally do not know why i put it in upside-down 😭 i think i was distracted! but thank you!!!! 💖

Ive been wanting to build my own gaming setup for a while now but im super scared because I thought it’s gonna be so difficult but this tutorial make it looks easy especially for a beginner like me! ❤ I super love your aesthetic and editing too! I also wanna ask instead of using the white and pink cable, what other cable do you recommend that lights up and will be in sync with the lighting of the fans? Much love to your channel! ❤️

    • @celestefleurs
      @celestefleurs  2 роки тому

      you're welcome, i'm really glad i could get it across in a way that's easy for you and that you enjoyed it!! ♡ for cables that light up, i'd recommend the lian-li strimer cables! here's a referral link for them: amzn.to/3wf4MyN
      they're a bit on the expensive side, but they're the go-to for RGB cables! if you want them to sync up with fans, i'd probably say get some lian-li fans if they do them bc they'll be controlled by the same software 🥰
