@@KC-pn2mk yeah that's fine and all that, but us olders remember how it felt to be robbed of slix all this years from sets, we haven't heard those reload bars ever since he retired from music altogether
WOW, seeing this UA-cam channel actually posting GRIME what the platform was originally intended for and based on, is really unbelievable & great to see again. 🔥
Yoooooo!!!! Memories!!! About 20 years ago when Grime music was in it’s element. Them times, London road life culture was peak. You’ll get jacked for your Nokia. If you wore an Avirex jacket you were a bad man. When you got on a bus, you’d sit at the top, back seats and you prayed that opps don’t get on it lol. Then times raves were called shoobz. Life was dangerous but it was LIT
Everything about this is elite. The styling (everyone looks 👌🏾), the production, the energy, the Compozers, the small details with the old box TV and the purposely exposed set in the background, the lighting, the way the additional guests on the track smoothly walked on and off the stage, Miras vocals!! .. this is so beautifully done. True nostalgia.. they need to do live shows RUff Sqwuad X The Compozers, this would sell out quickkkkkk. Someone got to put on a throwback 00-2010’s festival of British rap/grime/garage etc
You're telling me Ruff Sqwad were the first artists with African descent in grime? Stop it. I swear not everyone in the entire crew was African, lol. Even Dizzee Rascal was before them
@@ANineOne not deep that deep... chill out. and im sure he's not even talking in a literal sense. Like when someone says 'original badman' ... doesnt mean you were the first badman on planet earth. 😂
Exactly, we need a live band series like this celebrating the music of crews and collectives like The Movement, Essentials, Roll Deep, Aftershock, Nasty Crew, Newham Generals, BBK, Underground Unit & OG'z etc. Their work was pivotal to the UK's music scene & shaped the sound of other sub-genres.
I am older & from Newcastle but was lucky enough to be introduced to Ruff sqwad from a friends younger brother before grime even had a name. We used to run production classes in youth clubs & show Ruff Sqwad as an example of what young people could do on fruity loops. We converted quite a few teenagers & from happy hardcore plus older music heads into grime though Ruff squad. Massive influence in a city far from London we even tried to book Wiley ( didn’t show) for our club night.
About time they got their flowers as one of the greats. When it was prim grime they were known as a cold crew but didnt reaaaally get placed at the top even though they were just as talent as everyone!
This brought back my school days....ruff sqwad are mad underrated

My g, absolutely killing it
The youth don't know how much it means to see Slix spitting again
I can’t rate guys like central Cee at the top nowadays when man had put passion in their music like this years ago but barely get recognised ( I’m 19)
