The electric car brand Voyah brings gas to the Norwegian market with an exclusive collaboration with the artist Aurora. Anti Hamar is behind a new spectacular Norwegian launch from a Chinese electric car brand
Now I just need an actual MV of this song with this atmosphere without the car in it... Everything Matters fits really well for a comercial song of a car, but it feels so odd this atmosphere with a car by her side...
I choose this narrative: Aurora is promoting an electric car. By that she is promoting the green shift.

@@goldencorn8905 for our occidental countries maybe (that is discutable) not for the people digging materials for our batteries. Delocalizing pollution to the poorer countries isn't either ecological or ethical. It is pure cynism.

Please, everyone - remember that by being a fan of Aurora you support her endeavors - and that she is still her own person and can make her own decisions on how she uses her music, and who and what she supports. I've been reading a lot of negative things about this commercial, which is such a shame seeing as it's so beautiful. Yes, we are allowed to have opinions, but the majority of opinions I am seeing are bordering on ignorant if not hateful. Aurora is not a child, she knows what she is doing.

My guess is she probably doesn’t know, she has to be so super busy. The ccp is up to all kinds of shady stuff. Don’t get me wrong doesn’t change my opinion of her one little bit. She can do whatever she wants ! Of course I’m not in a concentration camp 🤔
I think we are allowed to disagree with Aurora, we are fan, not some blind fanatics. That don't mean that we don't respect her or her choices, but there is a need for dialogue to understand why she did that.
@@JHopkins yes, and we use cell phones made by chinese exploited under the same conditions and we buy in shopee. Hypocrisy is part of life - if you live in the same world as humans you just can't turn away from the bad things because directly or indirectly we enjoy them. When these things serve us, we minimize the problem, but when the other uses it, we are the first to criticize.

guys, thanks for all the interaction in the comments, in fact if Aurora doesn't kill anyone I don't care about her choices, I like her music. But I like to comment on things contrary to the opinions of the fans to provoke this questioning (in myself too) about how we idealize our idols and they are normal people like any of us. And about having repeated the comments, my English still doesn't allow a full conversation, so it's less work to copy and paste. She just killed her own carrier with this. Not a single musician who actually cares about human rights will work with her once they find out about this. And there is huge difference what can we do as individuals and what someone can do when she has nearly 4 million followers.

Unfortunately Voyah is state owned car company, the Chinese communist party (CCP) the CCP has some other side gigs like Uyghurs concentration camps.

I'm actually curious to know in what mindset Aurora was during the shooting of this commercial. Did she embraced the car theme or did she just did what she usually do without thinking of the car? I think it is beautifully done but it seems so alien to her.

She is obviously working with chinese music group and chinese companies. I don't say there is no money involved but it can also be out of curiosity for another culture, or to create a relationship with this country (as a sign of peace but also to allow her work to thrive in the future). She obviously has something in mind.
I like the commercial, and promoting, using an electric car for Norwegian is a love for nature
We know of Aurora. Most people do not. It is brilliant that a company sought her out to represent their product. It is brilliant for Aurora to allow her art to represent a comercial product. It will only increase public awareness of her art. And that would ne a good thing worldwide. It's not like it's a commercial for baked beans.

Aurora is Free and she do what she is inspired to. I stronglyt feel there is highly valuable a reason behind everything she create, partisipate in and say.
If everything matters, i would think more beauty and less lies in the art of adverticements will matter in the task to make our lives more joyable too..ehe

Just saying there are a million companies out there to do a commercial for that aren’t involved in the horrible things the CCP is involved in. The list of the CCPS crimes are legion. That said it doesn’t make Aurora responsible for the suffering caused by the CCP . But lending her voice to any part of the CCPs machine is s little sickening. And using “everything matters “ everything matters including the cries of the Uyghurs in their cells. And again she’s not responsible but someone in her organization made a choice not to care.
Cool commercial. Generally it fits very well to Aurora style (of course i am not talking about car but whole visuals). And to be honest i don't understand criticism that she participate in commercials and don't see anything wrong with it. Especialy if it fits to her general style. The same with music for games or TV series.
Ps. I also agree that the same persons who complain use products that are advertised like Samsung or Apple mobile phones and more. Also everyone works to earn money.
Ps2. Important factor is that it is a electric car which also fits better to her believes to preserve a nature.

Okay so I love Aurora, (In love might be a more accurate thing to say) and I'm a huge fan of her music. It's her choice if she wanna do a commercial. But... i cringed a little when I saw this. How much money did they give her for this...? Can't imagine her doing a commercial, no matter to which company. Weird... Like, it's not like she is poor or anything... she has about 5 Millions dollars according to google... So- why, I don't get it. So Unlike her. But again I respect her choices of course.

We don't know a context of decision. Of course commercial for Chinese company is maybe more controversial then go other. On other hand it is new company for electric cars (=no emission, at last not direct emmision). Also we does not now details connected with contracts with label and Aurora reasoning. As I said I would not demonise commercial. I like it and this commercial (not counting particular electric car) fits to her style. Of course i can agree that indirectly if it is state Chinese company it is minus as China is not a political system i support or agree.

So basically for AURORA's fans it was very unlike her to shoot a car comercial, because it goes against everything she preaches with her public persona and overall, we just don't understand why she did it. Some were angry, some confused, some upset, for me personally i'm just a bit confused.
