- Barlow knife AKA Cabin Creek. I worked this up based on Henry Reed’s version of cabin creek mixed with a bit of how I normally play Barlow Knife. Banjo tuned in standard just a half step down. So that would be f# C# f# a# c#
Thanks for watching 🪕
I know the Henry Reed version very well, and this is even better.
Thank you for sharing your gift with us. 💛
Love it 🎉
beautiful
I love that you tune it down. it gives it a warmer feel.
Great job, thank you!
I wish I knew music theory enough to understand your explanation of what you did. Never the less I enjoyed hearing your rendition of a tune I like so much.
A beautiful piece played very well, bravo! Thanks for sharing.
Time to grab my banjo and put this video on 0.5x speed! 😂

Suggestion: Donegal Reel! Always been one of my favorite reels, and the banjo part on it is at the forefront, unlike some other reels

I don't yet play banjo but I am thinking of buying a short-scale, 17 fret banjo. I came here trying to find someone who plays one. Is that what you are playing or is the neck of yours close to standard length? I thought a shorter neck might be tuned higher but you've used drop-tuning. I'm a little confused. I don't think you've talked about your instrument at all. I've seen the words "lady's banjo" and "pony banjo" but I don't really know exactly what they mean. I'm clearly not an intermediate banjo player but I hope I'll understand the answer because I've played violin and guitar.
Sorry, I see the gap where the missing frets could have been on your banjo now. On the other one, the 17th fret is the end of the neck,
Lesson please!
Try play a hard guitar solo on the banjo
Miss VanSuetendael please don't be lazy i know you are super busy being a professional at work and playing band at night but you do have a small following. Post a video at least once every 3 or months please that can't be hard for a talented person such as yourself.
Now that's how you write a rude and entitled comment ✨
