I went searching for a trench coat for an entire year, but had to settle on a duster coat instead. Around two years later I wanted to buy an actual trench coat. I went searching in several shops around Ireland, but couldn't find anything.Until one day I went into Penneys/Primark and found one.... in the womens section. It was a black leather trench coat, length below the knee. It looked exactly like the trench coat I was looking for for almost three years. The arms were long enough as well, so it actually fit me. I was quite happy after buying that. Your statement about how there should be the same amount of trench coats in the mens section as there is the womens section is something I have been saying for YEARS. Anyways, great video man keep it up.
Don't take this the wrong way, I'm familiar with the dialect, but if you could subtitle your whole videos with other options than the Google/UA-cam auto generated ones, you could reach a further audience.
@@JohnUMusic hey man, I actually go in reformat the subtitles whenever I upload a video now so that it’s atleast accurate. So it is not the autogenerated one, but maybe I’m just doing it wrong.
You should title this something like "Why menswear is f*cked" or "The problem with menswear" . I think that'll get far more clicks and this video, like all your other content, deserves way more eyeballs
Totally get it ! Over the years, I've noticed this a lot too , and it's only increasing. Go to a Zara ( internationally ) or central or shoppers stop ( India ) and you'll see that YoY the mens section is being squeezed in with the children's to make space for more women's. Im not complaining, they clearly don't sell just enough but this is only going to get worse. However, in America its the same thing BUT there is quite a bit of South Asian influence aswell being the melting pot of cultures - and its only there ( mostly Korean and Japanese ) When I was a teenager, I occasionally borrowed my Mom's Jackets (Sweaters ) Blazers and such and instantly found them to be of a much superior quality and design then what I was using and in retrospect even now. In business sense as well Women are trending to be letting out a vibe while men dress up as slobs despite putting on a suit. This is a problem that needs to be addressed
Also to. your point on women's clothing having lesser pockets. I think it has to do with body shapes ( obviously ) . The more box like make of men allow larger practical pockets ( especially in the pants ). But also the height parity that designers have to deal with when it comes to women. Since their designs have to match sizes starting from 4'11' to 5'10 . Phones and women's jeans pockets have always been a controversial subject. It's ironic in a way, a study in 2020 said that the iPhone 12 max pro had a high adoption with women and the iPhone 12 / Mini with men. Women have made peace with phones hanging half outside or not keeping their phones in their pocket at all. I have noticed and spoke with some of my friends on these and gained this insight, not a designer myself. Fun fact, there has has been a marked rise in Samsung Z flip sales in women, from my observation, its compact when folded and fits in their pockets and yet larger that Pro Max when unfolded, also in comes with many software customisation and decorative that women love to use ( not generalising ). The perfect trifecta ! This trend may grow as well and you might see women centric design in tech as well. This scares me given what we have seen in fashion, although currently it's kinda required as women representation in Tech is very marginal. But given how marketable they are, smart companies will definitely catch the wind and the copy cats will follow suit soon enough. I think this decade will be driven with women centric product designs. It great new and an untapped market in many sectors. But my male insecurity of being excluded if giving me goosebumps . Hahaha ( don't judge ! )

Bro that’s awesome ❤
You can't think of these ideas during a brainstorming session. These only come to you at 3am when you're unable to sleep.
I have lost sleep during this process. This is the thing that keeps me up at 3AM that is so true
Your channel needs to blow up on UA-cam like right now! UA-cam, are you listening?
