A slight correction to your story concerning Reveille VI being the A&M mascot at the time she was stolen. She was not the official mascot of A&M at the time, she was a young pup who was in training. The official mascot of A&M at that time was still Reveille V. So, of the Southwest Conference, A&M's mascot is the only one not stolen.
Those who don't understand why dogs outrank handlers in the military... If a handler improperly takes care of their dog or is found to have neglected and/or abused their dog, they are charged with striking a superior officer (a major offense in the Uniform Codde of Military Justice). This ensures that animal is given the highest grade of treatment possible from their handlers.
Enlisted: putting friends in bags and always being uncomfortable, scared, hungry, and tired. Cadets: having the free time to play with dogs. GTFO the Corp Cadets is a joke.
I love COLLIES and Texas A & M has a beautiful collie. You are very LUCKY to have such a wonderful breed for a mascot.
