Buying BULK Pokémon Cards From TCGPlayer (Blind) - Is It Worth It?

- Today we are diving into bulk sales with TCGPlayer! I have never bough bulk card lots, so I decided the best way to test this out, would be to do it blind. We are only buying the bulk lots that TCGPlayer throws at the top of their listings, thus making them the default options. Let's see if it's worth buying Pokemon cards this way!

Thank you for this. My 5yr old son is just getting into Pokémon cards but ends up trading most of them away. Even the duplicates would not be a big issue as long as I getting more cards than a normal pack.
I’ve never bought cards on TCG player but I’ve wondered about this. Thanks for the info I will be more careful when I try them out👍🏽
They can be very nice for buying singles. When it comes to sealed products, the single packs are almost always weighed, so only but sealed products that are in boxes (ETBs, Booster Boxes, etc)
Cool video junk! I've never bought any bulk so this was interesting.
Thaanks for this, was considering bulk dbs cards from tcg player. not anymore lolol
its like buying that $5 dollar 50 set cards on amazon, its just duplicates after duplicates (the full set)
truth
Nice vid man appreciate the info.
where would be a good place to get bulk? Meaning the most cards for the cheapest price. They are great teaching tools in my English classes abroad and useful rewards to keep kids motivated to do homework and work hard during class.
TCGPlayer really isn't bad for bulk, just don't expect any great cards.
eBay is a good option as well, and you can search for "lots" that show the cards you'll get, rather than going in blind
@@JunkSeeker What is a good rate? I’ve bought magic the gathering bulk at around 7-9 dollars per 800-1000 cards excluding shipping. What’s the general expectation when it comes to pokemon?
was considering "blind" buying an up to 10000 bulk for 600$ for donations for my org. but totally not worth it if this is what happens. if anyone has bulk for cheap cheap message me please. this video probably saved my week right here. investigative journalism at its best.
I'm glad I could help!
Sadly Pokemon is very expensive right now, so it may be hard to get a good deal. You could still look into using TCGPlayer for this, but you would need to vet which sellers you choose to buy from.
Troll and Toad is another option, but I am yet to try bulk from them myself, so I can't verify if it is worth it or not (or even if they sell bulk lol)
I just bought a bulk of 8000 cards for $180, after watching this video not sure if I got ripped off
Definetly ordering for treats for my kid. I will probably build a deck for me to play against him. He can get boosters if he is really good and that will be more fun. Drawing a card from the good behavior deck might help him be a good big brother.
That's a great idea!
I feel like I gave off the wrong message in this video, based on some other comments. Bulk from TCGPlayer does have its uses, just in specific cases, like yours!
@@JunkSeeker I think what you said made sense. For novice players though it could be a nice start. At least if he trades some duplicates at school he probably wont regret later.
@@driftpirate7234 Yeah I certainly agreed to some awful trades as a kid lol
Theres like 0 chance of actually getting something good from bulk.
0.0001% anything can happen
I want to make a Pokemon cube that uses mostly cheap cards. I was thinking about buying a 1000 bulk lot to start my collection.
