At the end ,he will be eaten
JoJo Yep and it will taste good.
Prayers sent for him!! ❤😉❤🙌❤😉❤
Thank you to you all! He's in a good place
These Bisons are so blessed having you . You really care for these bison. Thank you for all you do
Your daughter is adorable, and looks like she won't be afraid of large animals, that's great!
God bless you for helping this guy. there's a reason you found him, so we'll see what that turns out to be
That’s definitely something you don’t see everyday! Another use for the Deere. Hope he does good at his new home. 💕from Ky.
He's probably saying, " Now these look more like my people!!"Lol! God Bless!
very kind of you take care of an orphaned animal with so much care. I salute you Sir.
Thank you so much for taking care of that Bison! It,s refreshing to see people actually taking care of Bison instead of killing them! 😊😇🥰💖
A similar thing happened in Poland but it was a cow that escaped from a farm and was later found in a wild herd of European bison
I saw that video...the bison were more than happy to have that cow with them!!
@@tinydancer36 they breed together also. Best meat. Usually called Beefalo.
Yep there mostly in the same genus or niche so to them it's just an odd bison or an odd cow
I'll have to look that up! Sounds interesting.

But yeah
In the 1800s and early 1900s
Ranchers once kept bison with thier cattle
Well, he got rescued to the right place! He appeared to blend right in to your yearling herd. Look forward to updates!
That is awesome that he is wanted after being discarded. Whoever had him didn't want to pay to fix him.
Wow.
Agreed!
I’d be surprised if he makes it with that big hernia. He probably wasn’t dumped, he probably ran off after being injured.
I agree
@@RadDadisRad even if he wasn’t dumped and he ran off after being injured, nobody went looking for him.
You can wrap that hernia with 1ft elastic "not too tight" and the intestines will slowly go back inside, then a vet can staple shut the abdomen wall and it will heal after about 1 year. Thanks for what you do!
Very interesting! This is the first I am seeing if this sort of practice! Appreciate the feedback! Thank you!
@@CrossTimbersBison my buddy that used to work for the city dumping trash cans the old school way had his intestines pop out and had a hernia wrap treatment before they would stitch him up, cant see why it wont work on a Bison. Again thanks for caring about Animals.
@@CrossTimbersBison the animal first needs a x-ray to see if its a tumor or abscess before assuming its a hernia
Very cool . Thank you all for helping this animal .
I remember my grandfather treating a calves with hernias by making a truss out of belting.
That poor Bison! I'm so glad that you could take him in and give him a good home. I hope he ends up okay

oh my gosh looks like the cow herd was protecting the bison- the looks on their faces when Doc shot it with the sedation gun was priceless--They all turned their stares to the man with the rifle--
Poor baby. So glad you can help him.
Great job on that saves of a a buffalo not even in your herd but now added onto your herd wonderful. ! Yes thank you for Doctor s closeness to your Ranch that s awesome .
So glad you rescued him! Poor thing..God bless
The cows know something is wrong with the bison. They are showing concern. How odd there is a stray bison. Wow, I felt so sorry for him - that's a massive hernia.
Yes, it is massive. The guy said it has gotten bigger. It should be fixed.
@@caroljean1962 they don't fix them as I guarantee he belonged to a bison farm used for production of meat. That's what the majority of bison business is, for food supplement program's and for production.
@@pamelamorris3148 fn sad.. then its not a rescue at all. It's a free asset
@@deborahsimpson4968 Well it might get a year or two of grazing before it becomes steak. 😬 Better than starving or dying alone.
@@pamelamorris3148 I cant even think of him being eaten ....
Please stay safe. When I lived in Creek County, a ranch hand was gored to death by a bison that he took care of for several years. Not sure if the bison accidentally or intentionally gored the man. Just always keep an eye out 👍🏼
How sad.
He probably underestimated the animal and forgot it was still massive and wild herbivores ask then tell then show the bison would have asked him to stop or do somethin then told him then showed him like he would another bison just as horses do and deer and so on
Yeah, it happens way to often 😔
Heard a similar story just this weekend. A farmer had a bull that he never had problems with. But one day it snapped and trampled the man to death. Big animals can always turn dangerous really fast.

Dusty, thanks for sharing this "rescue" of the injured bull bison. You definitely care for the bison and hopefully this guy will recover without any major problems. Having access to Doc Parson is a real plus for you and Cross Timbers Bison.
Most definitely, I agree 👍 💯 🙂
Great documenting and explaining, go!
I’m starting to think Dusty was bovine in a previous life... the cows and bison seem to fell safe interacting with him...
Look forward to the videos... woke up this am and went straight for my guilty pleasure...Cross Timbers Bison...
Not every day you find a bison with your cows! He knew he was safe there. Thank you Dusty, Doc Parsons & the farmer ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Hope he fully recovers. Good luck with your new charge 😁
God bless you Dusty for rescuing him how can people do that to an animal if they need a vet get a vet. 😪💕

So happy you rescued him. He should be happy now!
Thank God there r people like you,,thank you so much for taking him in...
Aww poor little thing!!! He is in good hands now!
Well, he couldn't hàve found a better place by chance to hang out and be rescued to go on to live with other bison! Glad he found his way to you!
Yeah, I wondered if someone dropped him off knowing that help would be at hand for him - lol. The cattle look so healthy too.
Do they find out who the owner is or was?

It's crazy and very interesting that when you aren't out finding Bison, Bison are out finding you.
I'm in Canada, but do you think a nearby veterinary university would want to do the surgery for training purposes? might be worth asking!
Then it would be free or hugely reduced cost.
Great idea !
I had a double Herrington Rod surgery filmed for training purposes, it would have cost over $120,000 but because I allowed them to use it as a training situation in the surgery and filmed for future purposes it was free. That was in 1982.
Your idea is very good idea !
At 7:23 they say that it would be hard to to get the repair to hold. Other people in the world comments have said that while the repair surgery would be doable, the healing process probably wouldn't go well because he is young and active. So unfortunately it isn't a money issue- some things just aren't "fixable."
@@mpedmar9701 I have Herrington rods but, mine wS covered by workers comp so I didn't know how much it cost at that time. That was in 2006
@@Cent4man
Mine extend my full back and it was a complicated 8 hr surgery. I'm not sure what they cost now. I crushed 3 vertebrae in my neck , 3 in my back and broke 5 in my back in a car accident. Blessed to be alive.
So heartwarming to see the other cattle looking over him and worrying
Oh my thanks Dusty for giving this Bison a better life, please keep me posted. God Bless you
