- Just something I wanted to throw together after not being able to find anything on youtube. I love the AD theme song and enjoyed all the little flairs they put into them in season 4. So here they all are.
According to the wiki, "Michael has a trumpet, George has a guitar, Lindsay has a sitar and guitar, Tobias has a saxophone and harp, G.O.B. has an electric guitar, Lucille has a violin, Maeby has scat vocals, George Michael has a wood block, and Buster has an accordion." So you got most of them. Good ear! I didn't even notice they were changing until Maeby's episode with the scatting although, to be fair, it was really late and I wasn't exactly at 100% brain power.
Tobias is a sax because he "Just blue himself"
The final episode "Blockheads" has each character's music cues. As it turns out, each character's sound flare comprises the basic melody to Arrested Development but that's not obvious until you hear it all together. It's a metaphor for the season as each episode seems disparate from each other but in the end, all of the episodes together ultimately make up Arrested Development.
I love how George Michael had a woodblock.
I love the fact that the finale is all of them combined.
It seems like for whoever the episode is about, there is a distinct flair as soon as their name pops up. In the Maeby one, you can hear her say "Hey" when her portrait comes up
Lindsay is mentioned more in tobias' intro than tobias himself and i find that funny

Fuck, this is the best set of theme sequences ever! I would have never noticed all of these changes, not to mention how I'll never understand how they came up with the idea for this :o
I like how they're all kinda combined for the last episode.

Is George Sr a STEEL (steal) Guitar? And Tobias is something that could be blew (blue)
He gets called "Gob Bluth" a few times in the show, so I think it's safe to assume it's canon. I guess it's kinda like a PIN being called a "PIN Number", even though the N already stands for number.
Michael's is my favorite. They all follow a particular theme, but Michael's is the most fitting for the return of a great show.
If you listen in 5.1 channel surround, you can unplug the center channel to hear the soundtrack without the dialog.
I wish they could've somehow worked in a "Final Countdown" reference into GOB's

Michael's Tobias 1's Maebe's SO AWESOME. David Schwartz is a friggin' genius!
Since they put so much effort into little details i was sort of disappointed by george micheal saying in one the last episodes of season 4 that he wouldnt know who Lucille 2 is supposed to be. At one point in the previous seasons he uses her full name. Usually i dont really give much about minor paradoxons in series, but it's Arrested Development... COME ON!

I feel like some of the family connections are off, like Buster being Michael's half-brother/cousin but also being George Sr.'s nephew, not son. If you really want to get into it, Lindsey in that horrendous fifth season turns out to be Lucille's sister, which wtf, this show used to make sense and was well thought out.

It's always bothered me when people write Gob Bluth. It stands for George Oscar Bluth!
I think he/she means the fact that they include the last name Bluth after GOB, even though there's already Bluth in the initials.
Maeby's is the best.
