Where did they run after ditching the cars 🚗?
eaten by zombies
Maybe, Why would you get out of your car?
The ran towards the Pacific Coast Highway for rescue.
They couldn't drive their cars, but they could walk out?
My thoughts exactly. None of this makes any sense lol@@robertlaabs5066
it is reported that firemen told the drivers to leave the cars if they want to live. Does LA not have Tow Trucks? Good grief.
Can't imagine the fear those drivers were experiencing.
''Oh my my, my 5 million house and my fancy car are all going to get ruined. I'm so scared I'm so traumatized.''
Where did they run to
Eléctric cars are perfects to face apocalytic scenarios
You'd think that folks successful enough to own multi-million dollar houses wouldn't block roads during a fire.
You mean successful enough to be trust fund babies.
the decision making skills of the rich
They abandoned their cars because of the traffic jam down the hill as the fire approached them. They were afraid of dying. What they should have done is evacuated sooner.
The police told some to leave their cars and walk on foot along sunset to the coast line
Um, they were running for their lives
As an individual who likes the option to safely use a bike, I'd like to take this moment to point out how often people suggest cars represent freedom.
I’ll bet those car owners are all busy calling lawyers to sue the firefighter. “I know my rights dammit!!!”
oh the joy of living in California and dealing with the fantastic government there, but hey, we try telling them so 🤷♂️
Newscaster repeated the same 3 or 4 things (drivers left their cars, took the keys, this is an emergency, bulldozer is moving the cars) many times.
People like this is what causes insurance rates to increase for everyone. They waited until the last minute.
For some fires yes but not for this one. It was reported at 10:30am *this morning.* Evacuation orders only came in a few hours ago.
You have no idea what you’re talking about. You have no idea how quickly fires spread.
This what happens majority of the time because the people are dumb.
They built this area with only one way in and one way out. If you go to Google maps you can see the dysfunction of the way this area was designed.
How in the world these idiots left those cars blocking the access of emergency personnel and possible a route to evacuated,
The ems personnel made people abandon their cars.
That WAS the evacuation route until the PD blocked the road due to the fire up ahead, which caused the traffic jam. They didn't have time to put the vehicles to the side of the road because it was all packed with cars already.
No work tomorrow that sucks! I pray for everyone 🙏🙏🙏
I could see the insurance companies not paying for the repair cost after the bulldozer move the cars saying that the customer intentionally abandoned the vehicle therefore will blame the customer
As an la native, I’m so embarrassed
A diesel bulldozer moving electric cars, how appropriate. The truth comes out when it's an emergency.
Yes and a pre emission dozer at that if you know you know
Fossil fuel vehicles win every time.
