    Great video. Dome Plateau is one of our favorites. When we ran it in October 2021 with our RV/Jeep club friends we came upon 16 new Broncos with new drivers in front of us being shown how to use their new Broncos off-road.
    Once we finally got around them we headed for the overlook which is where we like to eat lunch. Just as we were finishing up lunch at the overlook the large group of Broncos came upon us. We were able to talk with them for a while and the Ford reps who were leading the group. They all seemed to be having fun by their smiles.
    We also like to take that spur off the main trail near the end that drops down the ledges and waterfalls. Great, great, great scenery on this trail with just enough small obstacles thrown in to keep it entertaining.
    Mike

    I’m jealous of the snow! That’s probably my favorite “moderate” trail in Moab! I definitely recommend gps as there is a lot areas to explore there. Great video buddy!

    We really enjoy your channel. Great for us when it's time to plan our 4x4 trip to Utah (we are from Montreal).

    Another great video K&K !! The overlook was amazing and you had some great drone footage there. So I'm itching to get my new Power Wagon out on some Power Wagon appropriate trails. Could I do this trail in the PW? Keep the great videos coming - you are fast becoming one of my favorite watches.

      I would imagine so, I don’t see any reason you couldn’t

    Were there large ruts in the trail just past 3:45 obstacle? Last fall the Broncos were testing their lockers there and the trail got really tore up. Unlocked IFS rigs couldn’t get thru. Heading there this weekend!

    You say it's, "not too difficult" but TrailsOffroad rates it "difficult". Sometimes I am confused about their rating system. I have been to some trails they say are moderate but end up being pretty difficult and vice versa. It's good for anyone going to do this trail to see some of the user review. It's a huge area so download your favorite map and you can explore for days here.

      @TrailTraveler  2 роки тому +1

      A Trails Offroad 5/5 is not a "hard" trail. That rating is fine for a stock Jeep with all-terrain tires. You won't need lockers.

    • @NigelNaughton
      @NigelNaughton 2 роки тому

      @@TrailTraveler yeah that's why the rating is confusing because they say it is 'difficult' in their website for this trail.

    I would say close all gates even if you find them open, most likely someone else didn't close it back.

    • @TrailTraveler
      @TrailTraveler  2 роки тому

      That’s a possibility. Usually a gate that should be left closed will have a sign on it, otherwise the general rule is to leave it now you found it.

    • @JEEPIMPACT

      @@TrailTraveler wrong.

    • @TrailTraveler
      @TrailTraveler  2 роки тому

      @@JEEPIMPACT We will have to disagree here. There are gates that are left open for a reason, or even seasonal. Those, you leave as you found them. Gates with signs that tell you what to do, you follow the instructions. The BDR organizers tell you to leave gates how you found them and every trail guide book will tell you to leave them as you found them.

    • @JEEPIMPACT
      @JEEPIMPACT 2 роки тому

      @@TrailTraveler tell that to the ranchers where I live, they would highly disagree too.

    • @TrailTraveler
      @TrailTraveler  2 роки тому

      @@JEEPIMPACT Then they should hhave a sign that says "please close gate" and then there wouldn't be any confusion.

    Love the videos, we will be making a trip out to Moab in June. We bought a DJI action 3 and DJI microphone on your suggestion.
    I have a question. Where do you put the action 3 inside looking out front windshield? I noticed if I mount it on dashboard the view is about 1/3 hood and 2/3 of what I’m trying to show. I tried moving it up to top of windshield and it didn’t make much difference.
    Another thing, I’m not sure what microphone you use but I’m using the separate DJI microphone (not the internal camera mic)and I have noticed if I’m on a washboard road my voice is stuttering so bad you can’t understand anything I’m saying. If you have an answer, I would appreciate if you could help.

      We usually use a suction cup mount on the outside of the window to get the camera up higher. When it is inside, I have a 67 Designs system with a camera mount. We just use the DJI Mics. We are usually aired down to 12-13 PSI to help keep vibrations down. The mic is usually just clipped to my shirt or jacket.

    From what I’m seeing you’re rubbing Mopar lift? Do you think it’s any good for hitting the sand dunes and whoops without bottoming out easily?

    • @TrailTraveler
      @TrailTraveler  2 роки тому

      Nope. I started with a Mopar lift and it was a major mistake. Everything has been replaced with Metalcloak components and JKS Dual Rate Springs. The only thing left from the Mopar lift is the shocks, because they are ok. I never had issues with the Mopar lift bottoming out per-say, it will hit the limit of its articulation pretty easily, but you won't be slamming into the bump stops. When I switch over everything, I gained a lot more articulation and had to actually add some bump stop to keep the tires from smacking into the inner fender liners.
