i'd love to see your animation! i'm glad you like it, and just a heads up, once you start, you won't be able to stop! 🫣 good luck with your future projects, and thanks for the comment!
Hi! Thank you so much for this video, it is really inspiring! I am going to be trying to make my own mixed media animations soon and this is really helpful
This is awesome. I love the shots and your editing. If only I had the patience for such a process. How did you digtise the final frames? Scan them one by one?
Thank you so much! I have no patience at all, so I thought animations would be the last thing I should be doing 😁 but I tried it and it turned out to be a lot of fun! I don't scan each frame individually, I scan each sheet (I usually put 4-6 frames on one sheet).
Hi, this is so cool! How do you scan them back in and separate them into individual frames again? Is there a way to do it without having to manually crop each frame?
hey there! i make things like this :) super easy way is to use photoshop and make a contact sheet, there's an automated process that puts everything into the grid
I used Final Cut to put the frames together, but any other editing program will work fine. My latest video is a more detailed tutorial, where I also show how I combine the frames into the final animation. Hope you find it helpful! 😊
I’ve just done my first mixed media and i’m already in love with it! It’s so fun and engaging… hope I get the handle of it as you do! Nice work!

Thank you so much for the tips! Really creative and helpful. Did you scan the final papers with a scanner or did you photograph them?
I’m so happy to hear you enjoyed watching it! I scan the final prints because the quality is better but you could photograph them as well

What type of printing paper do you use?
thank you !! 🧡 usually I use regular printing paper
How many frames would i need for a 2 minute video?
It depends on how smooth you want the movement to be. For example, using 12fps, you'll need 12 frames to make 1 second of video.
I just found you, i realy like this, thanks so much LOVE elsy

How do I record them after I'm done doing the "scrapping" part? You have to scan it?
Yes! Scan them or photograph them 😊
I have a question. Do you print every two frames or more?
How long did it take to create?
Loved this video. But would have been better if the voice over was not done by AI.
