Neon Genesis Evangelion Toonami Intro

  • This is a fan made video (in case you couldn't tell by the last part) where I tried to make a Toonami intro of Neon Genesis Evangelion (AKA "What if NGE was on Toonami?"). IMO, I think I did a very good job around the beginning but whatever.
The DnB (Drum and Bass) song that plays is called Paradise Lost (Last Action Hero) by Doc Scott.
    R.I.P Toonami 1997-2008

Oh yeah, I do not own any part of the Evangelion series, Toonami, or the song. I do NOT stand to make any money and etc. In a nutshell, I am just a small guy who is trying to have fun. FUN! Isn't that what UA-cam is suppose to be about, BTW?

Two extremes for an either or question. It looks like a fan made video if thats what you mean.
There is a small clip in the beginning that has a Robotech scene which kind of gives it away. Also, Evangelion is an anime about a Neo Dystopia and the music runs counter to that theme IMO (it is upbeat and tight)

Yes, I have. The ending parallels Adam and Eve. The TRUE meaning of the show is very clear.
The heart of this show is Shinji and his relationships. His mother, his father, his love interests, the entire show is geared toward identifying his insecurities with the people in his life and how he copes and ultimately overcomes them.
"ending signifies the true aspect of chaos"..What does this mean? what exactly is the TRUE aspect of chaos? This makes no sense.

Actually, all religious symbolism (Tree of Sephiroth, the cross, Lance of Longinus etc) were added into the anime to separate it from other anime series at the time (1995). It's even stated by one of the staff at Gainax (the creators of NGE).
Also, fun fact but the Angels (the giant aliens in the series; save for Tabris) were originally called the Apostles in the Japanese version.

Really? I thought that was only on a special week called "Giant Robot Week" where they only showed 2 episodes of Evangelion. It was also on Adult Swim but I haven't found any regular Toonami intros for NGE.
So does this video capture the whole Toonami intro? Is it spot on or am I missing something (besides the title in the end)?

@Alchemist777 Too much editing, I heard. They got rid of the scene where in Misato's apartment where Shinji first sees her alcoholism.

It was BECAUSE of Evangelion that ALL mech shows were permanently REMOVED from Cartoon Network because they were too violent and were made for adults only. In fact, it was also because of Giant Robot Week's big failure due to the concerned parents, that Cartoon Network was FORCED to create Miguzi.
