🤍 NADA stands for the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association.
👂🏼✨The NADA Protocol is the name for a specific Auricular (Ear) Acupuncture protocol used for addictions and withdrawal symptoms.
It was first discovered in 1972 by Hong Kong neurosurgeon, Dr. H.L. Wen.
Dr. Wen used Acupuncture for analgesic purposes, but he noted that it decreased opium withdrawal and cravings.
By 1974, Dr. Wen was using the auricular treatment on different people suffering from various addictions. The NADA protocol was adopted for heroin treatment.
