      Yes sharp and quick! The chisel has to be sharpened at the correct angle then the strop / hone maintains the sharp edge.

    Thanks rich! I received the tormek t8 a few days ago so will be working with it after the holidays. Can you also do slicks with it? Ive got the robert sorby 3 and 3/8 inch slick which is kinda big. Thanks for sharing! Tom

      Hi Tom:
      I have sharpened my Barr, 2-5/8" wide chisel without issues. I have not measured the width of the chisel holding jig to know its max chisel width capacity.
      There is another jig that is flat (Tormek tool rest by name) that you may be able to use as well. Its not 'fixtured', so you'll have to be precise in your sharpening technique.

      @@theMainetimberframer Hi Rich, thanks for the reply, I ordered the attachment, according to the file the holder is for 77 mm and the big slick is 85 mm, I am not good enough with imperial but it is too large. All the best for 2023 :)
