Shotguns = Circle light up determines how much of max damage you will do. Guaranteed hit. Skill level increases circle light up speed. Musket = Circle light up determines your chance to hit. Skill level increases circle light up speed. Shot pistols = Damage RNG from min to max. Skill level raises min damage. Bullet pistols = Chance to miss RNG from min to max. Skill level raises chance. Crossbows = Higher miss chance than pistols, but require less RANGED stat for skill upgrades. Skill level raises chance. Daggers = Always hit, always full damage. Skill level increases damage. Any faction CAN do anything, but some things are easier with certain factions. Best/Better means there is some ability that is exclusive that makes that faction better. Easier to build means there is some equipment sold or locked to that faction that gives better status boosts mid game. Guardian = Best melee mage. Slightly better defense (heal doesn't depend on enemy target). Better crowd control. Easier to build mage. Lockpick utility. Demon Hunter = Best melee weapon. Best defense. Better melee mage. Easier to build shotgun. Easier to build crossbow. No utility. Voodoo = Best Crowd Control. Easier to build daggers. Bird flight utility.
I'm glad that there are people out there enjoying these game, along with the Gothic games, instead of just trying them for ten minutes and judging them prematurely. These games are probably my favorites, they're criminally underrated and overlooked because most of the world is too impatient to give them a real chance. I know they're not for everyone... But I still think they're underrated and overlooked. I would love to see the Gothic series released on consoles, especially Gothic 2, I don't know why I loved that one so much lol.. Thanks for the video, it really cheers me up to see someone sticking up for the series and this game specifically.
Brett Chambers I played 2 hours of this and it was garbage how can anyone enjoy this !?!?! 💩 it's combat is trash story is trash graphics are trash wtf
+علم النفس والاجتماع Yeah it's a bit rough isn't it.. I must have been trying to justify my $65.. I enjoy these games personally, but it's not for everyone. ...I cringe often when reading my old comments lol :/
I liked the set up of Risen (that's the only game I've played out of the 3 so I'm speaking for that only). It had a nice "treasure island" kinda vibe and the initial missions justified that but once that "undead" theme came up...I lost interest. It's plot is its biggest weakness. It doesn't give as much flexibility for character creation. Magic sucks. End boss fight is shit. It's just Gothic nostalgia playing hard here...I know; I defended Oblivion for many years until I start seeing its flaws compared to Skyrim. It's the same here..only in the opposite direction. Risen had potential but it was a screw up.
Companions can be nice at the start of the game and for their special abilities. Jaffar collects stuff from dead enemies for you Bones heals you The rest idk
4:47 Hey you wouldn't happen to remember how to access your secondary left hand weapon would you? I know there's a weapon wheel, but I want to figure out how to access the secondary left hand weapon. Would you happen to remember by chance? Btw I'm on PS4.
just bought this game for 5$ goty edition I also have watched angry Joe love the guy but I've played Gothic and arcania this game seems interesting thanks for the tips
Big mistake. You dont wanna judge RPGs on you playing Skyrim due to Skyrim not being an RPG, it's an open world, sandbox dungeon crawler. Completely different
"These skills are important." **Doesn't mention what level you should try to aim for, making overinvesting in said skills likely for anyone watching this guide.** -_- So much for aleviating that anxiety that we're wasting skillpoints...
You say to keep the said items. Can they increase in sale value? If o by what stat? I assume it be one of them. Can you have a lover? What happens when you die? Lose everything?
See I feel like my companions have helped me trenendously they deal almost 20%-25% of damage to enemies and Im on the hardest difficulty. Like companions in every Risen game and Elex have helped me out so much against mobs lol
I like this vid, but I think it mostly reflects the player's preferences/game style rather than universally valid tips. For instance, you can very much rely on some of your companions in combat if you manage to guide enemy's focus on them, you can mostly rely on melee and neglect ranged attacks, you can choose between crystal, rune or voodoo magic depending on the game flair you'd like to create for yourself. I think this is the great advantage of the game not being particularly hard or challenging that you have quite a bit of freedom in your decisions concerning your style of play.
My tip for all makers of video game tips or instructions: GET TO THE FU@KING POINT ALREADY!! Seriously, I am 1/4 a way into this video and he just keeps saying that he is going to give us some tips about the game.
The melee combat is pretty horrible early game from what i can see, judging by it the game got it from Gothic 3 apparently, but otherwise if you play a game or gunner, you should be pretty comfortable through out the whole game. Note i havent played the game myself, but judging by gother 1-2 and risen 1, compared to risen 2 and 3, gothic 3 and 4, the melee combat is very different and worse in the later.
Actually melee combat is not bad at all. Once you stop expecting to land your entire combo every time, it's really easy. Every other weapon is faster, but your defense with melee is better if you are surrounded.
angry Joe sucks at every hardcore game that I see him Playing hahaha did you see him Playing Dark Souls??? hahaha he should stick to the Hack'n Slash games hahaha
I love these quirky German games. I played everything since Gothic 1.
Okay, but why "quirky"?
@@OskarJanczak because the game is not perfect/has quite a lot of laws but it was made with a lot of love and its still great
Hell yeah! I've been playing Risen 3 and Elex quite a lot lately. I love true RPGs

My tip: write down locations and difficulties for chests you can't open so you can come back for them when you skill up.

Angry Joe like most american gamers i find, like their games to hold their hands and expect to be a good fighter straight away
This game is $5 this weekend on PSN, and I almost talked myself out of buying it. From your video, I'm hopeful I will enjoy it quite a bit!
Which island should I do first in New Allies
Thank you for video, please how do you do, that you disappear during dodging? Special skill or magic?
Its demon hunter magic...replaces the roll to evade
shotguns vs muskets on dmg?
Shotguns at point blank range with just one level of crit, crit EVERY time for double damage.
just bought this game for 5$ goty edition I also have watched angry Joe love the guy but I've played Gothic and arcania this game seems interesting thanks for the tips
Just got the game for 9 bucks on Amazon. I love RPGs like witcher, skyrim, etc so I thought I'd try it. Thanks for the tips.

I stopped watching Agry Joe as he gave skyrim a 10 out of 10. That game does not deserve it , no game does.
Miroslav Kozić That’s his opinion ..
Angry joe is less gameplay and more needless ranting.
