David Silverman & PZ Myers: Drowning in noise - how accommodating nonsense poisons our discourse

In one of the more fiery parallel sessions from the World Humanist Congress in August 2014, the BHA's Sara Passmore chairs American Atheists President David Silverman and blogger and biology professor PZ Myers, who offer their views on how we as a non-religious community should work to overcome the prevalence of bad ideas. At the World Humanist Congress, we really saw a diversity of humanist perspectives on these sorts of issues - and David and PZ were there to speak from their experiences of debates around religion and atheism in the United States.
