Well a little bit here and there. But for the most part Eternals was less in your face about the humor or meta references. The only one that really annoyed me was the reference to Dane's uncle (in the comics the villainous Black Knight). It served no purpose and was just there to be a distracting Easter egg.
I love Ikaris and was soo sad to what they did to his character in this movie. I meen is Richard Madden were talking about he is an amaizing actor and the arc of Ikaris story on the movie was... pretictable. Hopefully he will come back and get like a redemption arc or something. He isn't a bad guy, just a loyal soldier.
His my bet to be the next James Bond.He had the same charisma of Sean Connery.And he will be partnered with the Charismatic Angelina Jolie it will be Explosives.
I mean he is the antagonist but I would say he is interesting. The worst character is Dane as he literally serves no purpose beyond to set up the next movie.
