Not sure if anyone pointed out about the drawers, but I have owned this dresser. Rearrange the drawers. Bottom goes to the top and the top to the bottom. Then the pattern connects where the handles are. Great job on the refresh 😍
I am almost 60, I can tell you that 95% of my furniture is from thrift stores and antique malls, it is a wait to curate the pieces but I am a firm believer in “buy what you love” and what “speaks” to me, not cheap junk…
OBSESSED with this video for so many reasons! Okay, are we even more soul sisters? My FAV stain color is Minwax Early American! haha everything I have re-finished in my home is this color
Love your taste and choices of treatment for each piece. Really like the wall of baskets above your dining dresser, and love the black piece with the feet and top left natural. The stone fireplace is lovely.
I was team paint, but I think you made the perfect decisions with all of these pieces! I love that stain color as well. That little shelf is gorgeous too! I would maybe find a small wooden vase/vessel for a little bit of seasonal greenery and try that up there? Love the placement!
@@bohobellevintage thank you!!!! I know, me too! But I’m glad how the two pieces compliment each other now 🥰 - and thank you!! I love the shelf too! I think that’s a great idea! I’ll have to keep my eye out! 💖
So that satin black not that brand but I use that satin black in a couple of places in my house. I’m a little older and I need more lighting so I end up going with a bright white in my dining room with some black curtains like not real black, but there’s black in them and then all the trim only the trim facing so not the entire trim but the trim facing I did black satin and make the room pop. I have a cubby cabinet that my brother built me 30 years ago and I painted it a sage green With the white, the black and the green on the cubby wall and I placed my aunt there. It looks so pretty. It’s so bright and it’s so pretty and black and I’m gonna do the back wall into wood like a tongue and groove and then the rest of the walls are gonna be white ceiling whiteand some type of a different type of curtains like I don’t know like a rustic something, but I’m actually just loving the white and black
Love your pieces but I wouldn,t have painted the last one because I think the beauty of it was the magnificent drawers. Despite of that consider me your new subscriber😜
Love the dresser. But I have to ask…. Aren’t the middle 2 drawers mixed up? I feel like drawer 2 and 3 should be reversed to put the pattern together correctly. I know you received it from seller that way but looked wrong to me immediately. Great stuff and GREAT prices.
I'm so glad you didn't paint the sideboard, it looks great. I think it's always best to preserve old furniture in its natural state unless it's severely damaged or something. It's worth far more than what you paid for it and the history is preserved.
I almost didn't watch your video because of the word 'sovereign' in the title. That word has negative connotations these days, and even if your use of it has nothing to do with that, you might want to rethink using it. Just a thought. You wouldn't want to put people off just because of one word. Also, you should go to jail for painting that last gorgeous piece of furniture.
Thank you so much for sharing with me your perspective! That's not the first time I've heard someone say that to me, and I'm sure it won't be the last, but that change has to start somewhere! As for me, I disagree. I think the world needs more sovereignty. The purpose of my channel is to encourage other women & mothers in particular, who have struggled with their self worth and confidence & found themselves living lives that don't fulfill them that lead to all the things we don't want. I want to be a voice for women who want to lead their own lives & build a life/home/story that reflects who they truly are & who God intended them to be vs. what they have been told or think they should be doing. I've read many beautiful books that speak on regaining your sovereignty and that is exactly what I am here to encourage.
What was your favorite piece? I'd love to hear! 🥰
