I have to say I'm really enjoying your surreal adventures and your candid commentary. It demonstrates the real challenges and difficulty traversing the boreal forest carrying all your gear over rocks, boulders, and roots. Temegami is such a beautiful area. I grew up near there. The fishing is phenomenal if you know where to go. Also wanted to suggest, if you don't already have, invest in a good quality pair of hiking boots (Salomon Quest 4D for example) with at least a 4 inch upper for good ankle support. The Salomons have incredible grip and support for heavy loads and long uneven portages. Save those trail runners for the campsite at the end of a hard day, you'll feet will love you.
