History House Productions Yeah, I think it’s a fictional closed-city because I can’t find anything about it, but it was called Stalsk-12. It was the hometown of the main antagonist and some nuclear accident has caused it to become abandoned.

Glad I did not actually go to "Gorkyii" (or "Gorky") in the USSR times. It was a closed-off city where regular Soviets and all foreigners were all forbidden to visit there. The reason - they had something like spies and was a place where details of Russian nuclear missile secrets ("classified stuff") were disseminated that would be extremely dangerous for the CCCP if anything like that leaked outside Gorky's walls. If I were to go there unannounced, I would be arrested by the KGB, and spent hard time in a Russian gulag or labor camp, and be fined a massive amount of Rublii (or "rubles").
The main thing I learned from this video is that Russians aren’t born, they just spawn in the middle of a field wearing an Adidas tracksuit
