I was born in 1954 and spent my teen years listening to the Grass Roots on AM radio. Now as i look back they really defined my life and shaped my views on music. Where did it all go. Rest in peace Rob, you deserve it. Thank you so much.
I was born in 56 and I remember coming home parents at work and putting The Grass Roots on the old stereo console blasting out all that great music sitting out side on the porch just kicking back and enjoying the heck out of it!!!!!!!!
The Grass Roots - Hall of Famers in every way. Rob Grill just an awesome talent. For a group that had so many great hits, yet underappreciated and underrated. So strong during the competitive time of the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Motown, and more. I put the Roots up there with anyone!
Man I wish I could have seen Rob Grill at Epcot I have seen so many concerts there. The Grass Roots brings back so many good memories. I was saddened to learn of Rob Grills death, such a good looking talented man, I wish there were more like Rob Grill RIP. So many great songs from the 60s.
I'm with you! He was always so handsome. I could watch his videos all day. I don't know what age he was more handsome, younger or older, he aged like a fine wine.
Thanks for posting this wonderful recording. I’ve watched it over and over. Rob sure is nice to watch! And it’s great reminiscing with the sixty’s music!
Thanks for posting this! Song list: "Heaven Knows", "Things I Should Have Said", "Love Grows (Where My Rosemary Goes)", "Let's Live For Today", "Where Were You When I Needed You", "Temptation Eyes", and "Midnight Confessions".
your screaming makes it hard to enjoy to much even when hes talking you scream interup him yes he thank you for screaming but got dizzy headache threw whole shows!!
Kelly, I'm a faithful Grass Roots fan! Saw them live in concert back in '71 San Juan, Puerto Rico at Hiram Bithorn Baseball Stadium,( still standing today!) just when "Sooner Or Later" was been played on the airways!!! Listen to this, I have straight hair and I spend time "ON THE MIRROR" styling "MY HAIR" just like Rob's!!!! ( Now Hector, don't forget your " BANGS" got to be perfit! My girlfriend Angie (my ANGEL now in HEAVEN) used to "TEASE" tell me "YOU ARE SO VAIN HECTOR" but l love you anyway! I did have good looks then, looked like one of "THE BYRDS", just naive kid. Angie and I married in '74, had three kids. I miss her, sometimes Hector feels so lonely when I think of her. Best Wishes to you!! The Old Hippie
I loved his hair , such a good looking guy.. Beautiful man . Loved the music, I listen every night. R.I.P. Rob,, The grass roots will never be the same with out you 😢
WhaT no one realized at the time was he was in excruciating pain from back surgery. It wasn't too long after this he fell offstage and died from the fall ... RIP Rob... he got better , not older.
@@MrGoogle239 With all due respect, my friend, it was a some dudes. I really don't care what legal rights they have to a name. There's a reason that Ringo doesn't tour as "the beatles." Robert Plant doesn't bill himself as "Led Zeppelin" either. It's called artistic integrity. They clearly have none.
@@TonysMusic1974 I'm sure you knew the original members? This band consisted of Creed Bratton (vocals, guitar), Rick Coonce (drums, percussion), Warren Entner (vocals, guitar, keyboards), and Kenny Fukomoto (vocals, bass) and had formed only a year earlier. Hmm, I guess someone else would say Grill was just some dude? Facts are stubborn things. And boy are they missing in todays events.
Why "Love Grows"? When the song was first brought to the Grassroots, Rob Grill wanted to record it, however the rest of the group believed it was too "bubble gum" and thus, they did not record it. Edison Lighthouse did record it and it went to Number 1.
Thanks !!, Again now I wish I had recorded every year they were at EPCOT. But 2003 was the year I heard them all, as you can see from thew dates, I was there almost the entire month !
Warren is retired, and living in Los Angeles. Creed is still performing on his own in the Los Angeles area. Rick Coonce has passed. Dennis Provisor lives up in Stevens Point, Wisconsin and is still performing locally.
Scott, do you know Glen Shulfer? He's a first cousin of mine and toured with the Grass Roots in the mid '70s and early '80s. He is good friends with Dennis.
He cut the song they decline to release so the record company gave it so Edison lighthouse grass roots did not like the song after they cut it That’s him actually singing on the record not the guy in the video that’s the way the music business is

Love & Miss Rob Grill❤️🩷
Some of the best songs ever. Saw them in 2018 in St Charles IL, same drummer as this video.
No. You saw "Some Dudes" Playing songs by the Grass Roots. No Rob Grill = No Grass Roots
@@TonysMusic1974 Sorry it was the Grass Roots, they have the legal rights to that name. The drummer played with Grill before he passed.

Rob always said that it was a big mistake passing it up!
Love this song wish they had recorded it...
I was shocked when Rob Grill died a few years back, he always looked so healthy. Heck, he looked like a surfer dude!
I know, he was so good. Thanks for watching.
You are preserving history here :)
Thanks !!, Again now I wish I had recorded every year they were at EPCOT. But 2003 was the year I heard them all, as you can see from thew dates, I was there almost the entire month !
I'm glad you were! to preserve our memories!
He had serious back trouble. When he fell off stage it did him in. What sadness ☹️
he still is handsome
RIP Rob Grill...we miss you😢
Love Rob
I love watching him smile
I bet they wished they recorded this one …… I do !!!
Another guy who can sing another thing
Live For Today
He's so handsome even in his older years. I wonder if he had a hip replacement. He sorta walks like he did.
I think he had when I shot this, it was sad when we lost him.

♥️
So what kind of fall gave him the injury that killed him? That was heartbreaking! He passed way too soon, too young!
@Tom Lowery Thank you for sharing.
Rob Grill, by the way, was an improved version of Jon Bon Jovi!
Where's Warren??? 🤔

All the idiots wandering in and out of the show and TALKING should be ashamed of themselves.....
Why is he doing an Edison Lighthouse song...not enough Grass Roots songs? Embarrassing.
He cut the song they decline to release so the record company gave it so Edison lighthouse grass roots did not like the song after they cut it That’s him actually singing on the record not the guy in the video that’s the way the music business is
Grills bass guitar was just a prop. There was a real bass player off stage playing bass guitar. Just sayin
