Leash reactivity is when your dog is reactive on-leash but not necessarily reactive off-leash. Many people see leash reactivity and mistakenly label it as aggression (especially with certain breeds). Zeke is not aggressive. He's actually fairly social with other dogs. But when Zeke is on a leash and sees another dog, the leash holds him back, making him frustrated. This frustration leads to him lunging, barking, and pulling towards the other dog. These reactive outbursts are rewarding for him, so he does it every time he sees another dog by default. Our goal is to change his default. In order to fix Zeke’s leash reactivity, we must: 1. Show him that he is NOT allowed to react towards other dogs. 2. Teach him HOW to properly behave around other dogs. 3. Give him an outlet for his energy/drive. Watch our newest UA-cam video if you want to see EXACTLY how we fixed Zeke’s leash reactivity towards other dogs. 🚨 FULL 1-HOUR TRAINING VIDEO ON UA-cam 🚨
question ....my dog reacts to frenchies ancertain breeds an then reacts on the lead an if hes closer to buddy the other dog he kinda has a go at him so how would u deal with that an why is it frenchies or a young male dog he doesnt know if they run up to him face to face he tells them stright away ...but i think i get that i wouldnt want a stranger running up to me an getting in my face but is it a thing about dogs not liking flat faced dogs 🤷♀️
This is awesome thanks. My border collie is doing this. Ironically it started at 6 months at training class where he started barking at another male 6 month old and they were hyper-focusing on each other- both high energy teenagers. Trainer tried to teach us "look at me" But the other dog was too distracting. Then he started doing it on walks to other dogs so it was spreading. Going now to watch your video.
Similar to my Anatolian Shepherd mix (6). Indifferent but friendly when off leash or walking on leash off the property but barking when leashed on property. I think it is mostly the breed. Guardian type. But it would be nice if she just watched and only got vocal when someone actually entered the property.
Yeah no.. There is a thing called "leash law" (at least here there is) so not having them on leash would be the problem in the first place. In the SECOND place, how are you going to say "in the first place..." twice? Do you not know how to count? In the third place, your name is RecklessReese, so I can understand the whole unleashed dog and dropping out of 1st grade. 😂

You need to add a good link to the 1-hour training video. I'll find it but I can't access it from here.

LOSE THE DAME HARNESS! THEY SHOULD BE BANNED FROM PET STORES!
How you feel about the harness is how I feel about e collars. A lot of things should be banned
