Can't recall a time where there were so many cards to talk about on your 'best cards of X color' episodes (and having more cards left over too). Think it's because blue has a lot of redundant cards that are very playable (and interacting on the stack is always good). Lovely to see these discussions as they are very insightful and entertaining. Top tier content!
in recent weeks i found hullbreaker horror to be absolutely insane. it's so hard to stop and opens up so many winning lines in midrange pods with bouncing bowmasters and clones. for me currently a 4,675/5 🤣
Been having a similar experience with Hullbreaker Horror, I was in a game a few weeks ago where a Talion player was miles ahead of everyone else and we’d been playing for like 2.5hr. They had the ring out along with HH and I was like dude just bounce the ring, draw your deck and play Thassa’s Oracle, GG lol
I LOVE Mystic Remora, don’t get me wrong. But when considering its power level, I’m always reminded of a tournament I played in. I was playing Tivit going second. Breya played a turn one fish. We didn’t feed it at all, yet Breya kept it around for FOUR TURNS. Finally couldn’t pay for it and sacced it… …I won the very next turn 😂
Bowmaster killed Timetwister. Really hard to use it if you have no way to interact with an opponent's Bowmaster. I'm convinced that Bowmaster is on par with Hullbreacher and needs banning consideration.
I’m at the point where Lorien Revealed goes in every blue deck. What an absolute unit of a card; the sketchy no land keeps with mana crypt become god hands with Lorien Revealed, and with the shift of the meta going midrange it’s a card you don’t hate drawing late in the game, and you don’t mind pitching it to force of will/negation or Gemstone Cavern even because it’s not a combo piece.
Im running 4 of it in every 60 card deck I play in the formats it's legal and it's amazing, you can cut some lands for it and feel no punishment and have some colour fixing and by turn 5 or 6 if the way is clear to hard cast it's refiling my hand at the perfect time and the cmc isn't an issue. Pitches to force of negation and subtlety of course.
Imposter mech being a vehicle (and not a creature) is a big upside when it's in play, having a non-creature bowmaster or talion is super nice, but being much easier to counter and not being able to force multiply your own gameplan is a problem.
@@sifthegreat4570 it does but your opponent has to have the druid because imposter mech cant copy your own things. Machine god is better for this since it also makes infinite blue as well as green
In the clones section I think an honorable mention should be dance of many, it offers the flexibility of phantasmal image with the downsides of flesh duplicate, however it has a big upside in that it makes a token copy on etb, and for some strategies that does double etb effects, or actively doubles tokens it will get the edge above flesh duplicate. Also being an enchantment can make it a little awkward sometimes, but it rarely comes up unless discussing kinnan or kenrith specifically.
would love to see this where instead of doing an overlay of ther standings, you guys have like a whiteboard with the cards in order on there so you can both stop forgetting where you have things. also ranking them 0-5, putting them in tiers is probably more accurate. love the video!
Surprised metamorph is lower than phimage, copying the ring seems much better and 3 mana dockside is still a dockside. Glad Dylan mentioned snapback over snap, i think it's all round better.
awesome video and analysis. the only thing I think I disagree with is Intuition at #9 4.94444 because while it is a powerful card to be sure, it's not an auto include in every blue deck (as evidence Dylan doesn't run it in Atraxa) I think Flusterstorm is more likely a 4.85 and Intuition is a 4.8 on your scale. awesome video again though. love your content!
Laboratory Maniac and Jace Wielder of Mysteries technically would still be win conditions if Thassa’s Oracle didnt exist but I feel like they would be lower in the list because of their mana costs
I play Tivit, so 2 clones and gilded drake are amazing. I just won a game in seat 1 and seat 2 had malcolm / kediss, they played T1 malcolm and I gilded draked it T2 helping me to the win.
Cam (currently talking about a card and rating it a five) : “Let’s talk about the … OH wait we forgot (insert blue card here)” Dylan: “Oh yeah that one’s real good” Cam: “Where does this even go!?!”
For real, I hope you see this Cam and Dylan, I love your channel and you bring my such joy listening to you guys every week. Dylan I’m super stoked you’re full time now! You guys are the absolute best and I hope we meet someday!
You know, if the format of EDH as a whole were ever *actually* balanced, I think there is an absurdly strong argument for banning Rhystic Study. I know that's a really unpopular opinion, but like, it HAS to be the best spell in cEDH that isn't directly a win condition. And the fact that it's color-locked and has NO downside whatsoever for who casts it is honestly just format warping. Like, I don't know if you noticed or not, but THE MOMENT that you realized that your forgot about Rhystic Study as a card was literally *list shifting*. I think the nearest equivalent to it in any color is *maybe* Demonic Tutor (a card that you will NEVER cut from ANY black deck list). I would've said Necropotence, but even THAT card comes with a VERY heavy downside by comparison. And as messed up as it is, even Griselbrand comes with *some* downside, which is WAY more than Rhystic most of the time *and* those spells are almost never used as *passive* value cards - they're explosive value or *active* cards. Where Rhystic is a Set and Forget spell that can begin *in play* on turn 1. I mean, you're welcome to mulligan for Dark Ritual and Necro as much as you want, but you're *STILL* killing yourself to net that card advantage. Idk, I'm just saying that the bullshit argument for why Primeval Titan and Sylvan Primordial are banned cards is simultaneously an argument for why Rhystic Study probably also ought to be a banned card at the bare minimum.
I think that because of the spells having thier own categories and the list being so black and white(this card better than this card) we would benefit from tier lists instead of top 10style lists
How can thassa's oracle be #1? A 5/5 means it goes in every deck running blue but Oracle doesn't. Oracle on its own does nothing, and you need cards from a totally different color for it to be as useful as it is. Rhystic, Mystic, and force go in every single deck running blue, but thassa's doesn't go in a deck unless it runs BLACK.
Yo! Don’t be afraid to show Terese Nielsen‘s art on cards!! She is a legend and her art will always be one of the best magic has had to offer. Her art is not a reflection of her personal beliefs. It’s OK to showcase her cards.
Honestly Brain freeze is more useful than Oracle as an individual card. I have used Brain freeze against my opponents once they've made infinite storm with like a Food Chain line or like some other infinite loop and just won the game AFTER they thought they had won the game.
A counterspell needs to help me win, not help me to not loose. Force of negation and mindbreak trap are working only if you can present a win at instant speed. If you put countespells in your deck with the intention to counter rhystic studies, you will loose.
I'm really surprised Intuition got rated so highly. I get it, but if we're talking about 1-card wincons I think I rate HBH higher in the decks that want these types of cards.
Wotc hasn't printed good blue cards/cool blue legendary creatures in a while. Blue reminds me of when you say something is good because it used to be good way before
I disagree that oracle is better than rhystic and fish. some blue decks won't play oracle while they all want the draw pieces. Not having hullbreaker on the list is sinful.
The scrolling menu is so satisfying. Well done Cam! Do it for the next 3 colors too!
I 2nd this! ❤❤❤
Yes!!!
100% agree!
you guys introducing decimals into your rating system... magnificent.
(can't wait for tyler to see it)
Blue eyes toon dragon is on theme for best blue cards
That would be a great alter for Gilded drake

It’s the “Let’s talk about Thassa’s Oracle. Oh.” For me.
😂😂😂
I love how there’s two displaced kittens at 50:04

Yeah card is a staple. Sure it's 7 mana but the format is so grindy right now that you always get there to play it's basically a one card wincon
HBH is just a win
Love the scrolling list at the bottom. Makes it so much easier to follow along 👌🏻
1:30 now I want a Jace-Son planeswalker for that Horror set!
Ok now I need a podcast about that binder
Channel is popping off, deservedly!
1:24, did you guys just spoil Valgavoth, Terror Eater art? Lmao
Comparing this to the white episode really emphasizes how strong blue is. We also missed polymorph
I LOVE Mystic Remora, don’t get me wrong. But when considering its power level, I’m always reminded of a tournament I played in.

the formatting of these videos are fantastic

imposter mech has the upside of being way harder to kill if you copy an opponents bowmasters because they can't ping it since its not a creature
And it goes infinite with devoted druid?
@@sifthegreat4570 it does but your opponent has to have the druid because imposter mech cant copy your own things. Machine god is better for this since it also makes infinite blue as well as green
@@Hysteria19 I get that. But almost every green deck has on so it still is a good choice

I love the moving card ratings!
I like that the cards at the bottom of the screen now scroll, that's fantastic :) Also, MORE DECIMALS.
Commenting from the future and you called it Dylan we did indeed get clowns in Duskmourn, you even got the colors right damn dog nice
would love to see this where instead of doing an overlay of ther standings, you guys have like a whiteboard with the cards in order on there so you can both stop forgetting where you have things. also ranking them 0-5, putting them in tiers is probably more accurate. love the video!

Glad Dylan mentioned snapback over snap, i think it's all round better.
I like Gilded Drake over Duplicate because UU is pretty steep especially in 3+ color decks
Toon Blue Eyes shirt goes hard AF

would be good to also mention how much the card is if you wanted the lowest priced version "today."
Never change, guys. The level of confusion cleared by making this a 1-10 scale is definitively NOT outweighed by the humor of your 1-5 scale 😂
I play Tivit, so 2 clones and gilded drake are amazing. I just won a game in seat 1 and seat 2 had malcolm / kediss, they played T1 malcolm and I gilded draked it T2 helping me to the win.
Do an episode ranking best non-blue cedh decks???
I think Cyc Rift deserves to be higher. It's such a devastating spell IF you can overload it.
I cannot fathom a blue deck that wouldn’t play it. Great for 2, backbreaking for 7, plays nice with Ad Naus.
@BabelTriumphant yuriko doesn't have the mana to cast and control/tempo builds would really not like their stax pieces bounced
Fluster storm saved me a lot may I add and also mana drain u get the mana. Back
Very surprised that cons Sphinx and hullbreaker horror weren’t addressed
Another perfect list! ❤❤❤
Mana Drain missing is a bit strange, but it's a niche card nowdays for sure.
57:43 I’d watch you guys talk about cards for 6 days
Are we proxying the Time Twister?
Cam (currently talking about a card and rating it a five) : “Let’s talk about the … OH wait we forgot (insert blue card here)”

Love the Gay To Win shirt Cam’s wearing!
I've been dying to buy it but I cant find it in the store!

Malachai, Children of the Corn; Green White
I had to dig for an answer
We could get killer clowns in the next dnd set if they do spell jammer
Sorry bit late but a horror villain who's nonblack could be Carrie's mom; religious freak is very mono white
Best mtg content
When I saw this I was like how in the holy hell are they actually gonna keep this at 10 cards. There is just no way.
I think that because of the spells having thier own categories and the list being so black and white(this card better than this card) we would benefit from tier lists instead of top 10style lists
There are so many blue cars XDXDXD great video
Displacer Kitten is on your list twice. There's irony there.
How do I get the gay to win shirt?
A 9000 dollar power 9 card not even making the top 20 really goes to show how absurd blue is as a colour compared to the other colours
Cam, we already got a horror clown set. It’s called unfinity.
I’m surprised Tsakashima wasn’t in the clone pile.
Cam 100% said Clown. I heard clown. Lol😂
I wonder where commandeer would go on the list
Children of the corn can arguably be white. The kid from sleepaway camp is probably just red. Freddy could be blue?
I feel like the Alien from The Thing would be izzet prob
Are the gay to win shirts always available?
I think you missed trickbind..... I've been seeing this a lot now..... It hits thassa and even the rad counters for a turn
Leprechaun is a mono green villain.
Flesh duplicate is much better with things like displacer kitten and hullbreaker horror for the non-kenrith decks
So pretty much every card on here is basically Time Walk.
Non black 80s horror is very clearly the Thing, which is obviously simic.
I want a Ron Jeremy card to helm a deck
Blue has so many good cards
American Horror Story universes beyond?
"It's barely a 4.9, it's like a 4.94, it rounds down"
The math ain't mathing. Wouldnt it be 4.86 then?
Id rather see a brainstorm or flusterstorm over a mystical tutor these days
I think that Dragon with Blue-Eyes is the best clue card. Also I hate Yugi Muto
Imposter Mech copying Bowmaster has been very very nice for me.
black next maybe? D:
this list is just 3-5 . there is now need for 1 and 2
Swan song a 5 loooooooool about fluster 🤣
I thought I won games because of my food chain XD
Mystic Remora:
U - Suspend 4
Win the Game.
He definitely said clowns.
MYSTIKAL ZOOTER
Pls sell us the shirt guys 😭
Yo killer clowns would be lit

What’s a good commander to start cedh with? Something simple for my simple mind
5:00: the 3 mana sol ring, the 3 mana mana crypt. overrated
Honestly Brain freeze is more useful than Oracle as an individual card. I have used Brain freeze against my opponents once they've made infinite storm with like a Food Chain line or like some other infinite loop and just won the game AFTER they thought they had won the game.
5.0 cards i would say is cards always want to see in start hand so would put thoracle and brainfreeze at a 4,9
How did Otawara not make the bounce list?
It’s a land, so will go in the land video. I assume😊
Definitely heard clowns
I have a lier deck that could easily be cedh, so having this list tells me cards I shouldn't play, appreciate it :P
A counterspell needs to help me win, not help me to not loose. Force of negation and mindbreak trap are working only if you can present a win at instant speed. If you put countespells in your deck with the intention to counter rhystic studies, you will loose.
Wonder if there are enough good red cards for a video ?😂
I'm really surprised Intuition got rated so highly. I get it, but if we're talking about 1-card wincons I think I rate HBH higher in the decks that want these types of cards.
Wotc hasn't printed good blue cards/cool blue legendary creatures in a while. Blue reminds me of when you say something is good because it used to be good way before
engorgesness
Putting twister that low is sacrilegious... also no windfall?
Those are for the aggro mulls not a tactic really
Definitely not top 10 but Impostor Mech being an Orcish Bowmasters that doesn’t die to Orcish Bowmasters in an Orcish Bowmasters meta is huge.
Green being the grand finale of this series is great because its the supreme colour and played by only the best magic players...like me.
I disagree that oracle is better than rhystic and fish. some blue decks won't play oracle while they all want the draw pieces. Not having hullbreaker on the list is sinful.
Resculpt is one of the best blue cards in cedh
Hot take: Xenomorphs are gruul.
