    Great video! thank you! I wonder how do they keeping the heat up in the winter. It is really cold in Germany so is this a special type of GreenHouse that keeps the heat in? Otherwise, it must be really expensive to heat this size.

    I'm puzzled why there is no algae. Do they use some kind of algaecide?

    • @fabulously695
      @fabulously695 3 роки тому

      They’re growing the plants above water. Algae cannot grow out of water and the plants that are in standing water and the water the roots is in is not visible. The ones that are sitting in water exposed to light have duckweed suffocating the algae

      @@fabulously695, I have a greenhouse and grow a lot of plants emersed (above the water) and, while there may not be algae on the leaves of the plants, there is plenty of algae on the wet substrate, trays, and anywhere there is water, nutrients and sunlight. I battle it with hydrogen peroxide some but I was wondering if there is some other algaecide that they use. I have a feeling Dennerle uses H2O2 in the nutrient tanks or some other type of algaecide. I know there are chemical algaecides available but I have not tried them yet.

    Interesting... they grow the plants hydroponically using the Ebb and Flow method 3 times a day... Wonder what the fertilizer concentrations are like!
