I'm a little South of you at Wheeler Res. We went out in the morning of what I assume was the same day as this video. Tried the Decatur Flats area for the first time. (I am usually 15-20mi up river) 10-15mph steady winds, gusts to 30 against the current, white caps in every direction and 2 bites in 4 hours. Worst day I have ever had on Wheeler.
That wind is ROUGH. Instead of the flats... have you tried up in the tributaries? I caught several nice cats up in where Elk River runs into the Tennessee... real shallow in there, but made several drags back and forth. Caught 7, 10 to 30lbs. Always, best to ya Dave !
Shad seem to move up there when the water starts cooling off. Noticed that and I've seen other people notice it. When water temp drops below 70 degrees it should get better in there.

Dave, the Ms River low right now but the main channel is good. If you wanted to take a road trip, you could go to Helena, Ark. and do good. Mayersville, Ms would be another good spot to put in.
