The legacy car industry is about to destroy it self by burying their heads in the sand and refusing to make competitive EV's.
They refuse to do the work and invest in the supply chain, modernise their production techniques etc to produce price competitive EV's, rather they are hoping it will all go away, keeping the status quo, unfortunately Tesla has already shown it's possible, taking 1/3rd the time to make an EV compared to VW.
It will be a repeat of Kodak, who developed the digital camera, then sat on it, preferring to carry on making film for film cameras preferring status quo.

Dropping the $7500 credit and adding massive tariffs will give the US legacy automakers 4yrs of status quo to continue to sell large gas guzzlers, but in the long run, it will put them 4yrs further behind the global industry transition. I can't see them recovering from that unless the US government steps in with massive subsidies to prop up the manufacturers.

All the elimination of the $7500 rebate means is that
Legacy automakers can now focus on doing what they do best.
    making "regular" gas vehicles
    and stop making electric vehicles
    that nobody wants
    & nobody can afford.
    Let Tesla stick to
    Doing what they do best.
Making EV's for the few people that want them.
& eventually they'll be able to cut costs so that the poorer people that want them,
will also be able to afford them.

I see NO PROBLEM with the tax credit going away.

How many wars and how many countries have you invaded to secure the flow of oil to keep gas prices artificially low in the US? The price you pay is so out of touch with the rest of the world and the true cost because of the hidden subsidies you pay. But that won't last. What happens then? Australia and Europe are paying on average $7.60 per gallon for fuel. What happens when the US joins the rest of the world and reality and starts to pay close to the true cost for fuel? EVs with or without subsidies will look fantastic when gas prices get to $8-10 a gallon, won't they?
Can't beat the convenience of a car that you can charge from home, using electricity produced in your own state and/or country. No reliance on others. No reliance on fluctuating world prices dictated by the OPEC cartel. Plus you transition to a cleaner environment. Finally, at some point the oil runs out. Cant keep burning millions of barrels each day forever. When does it run out? When do we go from easily accessed oil to more costly to access oil?
I agree with the tax credit going away, as well as all fossil fuel subsidies. Level the playing field.

    • @ZeusBullyMax
      @ZeusBullyMax 3 дні тому

If they cut the electric car incentives, then they’re gonna cut the gas and Oil incentives also. Let’s level the playing field and then see where the prices go for all types of vehicles.

    • @ZeusBullyMax

If they cut the electric car incentives, then they’re gonna cut the gas and. Oil incentives also. Let’s level the playing field and then see where the prices go for all types of vehicles.

    • @ZeusBullyMax
      @ZeusBullyMax 3 дні тому +1

Nobody wants EV’s and can’t afford them? You might want to see the pricing on both options. Also ice vehicle vehicles are declining worldwide, and electric vehicles are growing worldwide. It’s just that in the US the oil snd gas industry is so heavily subsidized that you think ice vehicles can operate inexpensively. If you’ve traveled the world as I have, you know that gas oil in those places eight dollars a gallon. So a small car with a 13 gallon tank will cost you $104 to fill it up. Then we will see what vehicle makes sense.

Adapt, change or go bankrupt. Nokia and Kodak were once leaders in their industries but were slow to adapt to new technology.
Legacy auto dealers are a nightmare for legacy auto makers. They gouged customers trying to buy electric vehicles.
Legacy auto dealers abused their customers by adding market price adjustments to gouge their customers for EVs
They added pricey add ons and other costs to pump up the prices and their profits.
Tesla has the right idea. Buy online. No hassle. No sitting in a show room for hours. No salesman BS. No crazy markups.
No I have to see my manager BS. With Tesla you can buy a vehicle in 5 minutes or less online. The dealers have no one to blame but themselves. The dealers are dragging the legacy auto makers down with them. The problem with legacy auto makers having slow sales leads back to the legacy auto dealers. They try to talk people out of buying and EV an want to put them in a gasoline car. Many people hate going to legacy car dealerships. Many people call them stealer ships for a reason. New car, used car or going in for repairs you always walk out feeling cheated. People have no sympathy for dealers.

Interesting how they say, technology gets cheaper over time. What they do is add feature, after feature, after feature to new cars instead of focusing on making a vehicle that can get from point A to B, with 4 people and some stuff, starting at 20,000 or so. Instead, let’s add this frilly bit of tech, call it a new feature and make the car start at 60,000 and go up… vehicles are modes of transport from A to B. That’s it. Whether you pay 20,000 for it or 60,000 for it, once you park it, they all equally get shit on by birds. All of this poverty in America being exacerbated by expensive housing and vehicles. Imagine, someone just out of college, being able to buy a new car for 20,000 that is reliable transport instead of going further into debt being forced into ridiculous prices which exacerbates the issues. Please auto makers, just make a cheap, reliable car option.

They are not gonna cut the tax incentive immediately. That would be pulling the rug out from under all of the companies in the US who are currently investing in battery plants and EV Automotive plants. Tesla would survive, but the rest I doubt it. It will be a phase out over years if anything. The country should also look at the credits that go to the oil and gas industry. They dwarf what is being allowed in the EV section.

Excellent video. Nothing has changed with the US automakers since before the Japanese entered the market. Back in Business management classes in the late 90s when I was in college they talked about how the Japanese managed for the long term in years and decades (focusing on quality and brand reputation), vs the American companies managing for the short term quarterly bonus producing cut-rate quality to maximize profit at the expense or long term sales and brand reputation. Nothing has changed and anything short of a real true bankruptcy will change it I'm afraid. I think Toyota gets it but started very later and caught with their pants down.

Without the $7,500 EV credits the EV industry will suffer with decreasing sales and profit. Tesla's margins will take a huge negative hit as they will be compelled to further cut prices to compete with ICE vehicles. There will be a significant negative impact on Tesla stock because of decrease demand and lower margins and revenues. Tesla stock without the EV credits has a fair value of $150 per share

In the future their new 4680 battery that doubles vehicle range and reduces recharge time by 75% are steps in the right direction. But this video’s ridiculous conclusion the buyers should buy EVs despite the loss of huge incentives and the lack of recharge infrastructure is ridiculous. New EVs sit unsold in huge numbers in China. There is no way that any American should get “suckered” into buying a Chinese EVs.

Haha, China has fields full of EV cars that aren't fit for sale and know they will be a time bomb waiting to explode and catch fire. Very embarrassing. EV are not safe at all in contrast to a petrol filled fuel tank. A battery can explode at any time, especially when weather gets cold from hot and hot from cold. They are dangerous and also limit people's movement by only being able to travel what the battery allows for, so if you are happy to stop quarter the way and charge and wait hours then go on. Pathetic vehicles and also rely on electricity provided by power stations that burn carbon to make that electricity. Where is the sense in this ??? They are still NOT truly carbon or emission free as the emissions are made at the power station instead. Its all a farce and they will die out real soon. Legacy car makers better keep making the petrol and diesel cars and people will be ready to buy them when EV are considered dangerous and a waste of money and resources. PS many people die mining for the materials to make these death traps.

Most people don't want EV's even though the government are trying to mandate them through. I think this video completely missed that point

Question. if the Chinese government in fact putting its thumb on the scale with government sponsored subsidies and other incentives, wouldn't the removal of the tax credit actually benefit China at US expense? And help put Tesla at a competitive disadvantage that blunt instruments like tariffs the only recourse? Have I missed something?

Please Farzad, I add my voice to the others here, Ai generated videos are a pain to watch and listen. I’m sure one day the technology will improve but right now it’s unbearable.

Whatever happened to Tesla’s mission? Transition the world to sustainable transport. Elon pushing the end to these credits will not help transition the world. Perhaps continue the credit and have it phase down as the legacy gets to 2 million a year… Teala needed it previously until they reached 2M. What do you guys think?

I can't work out if this is fact or fiction. I do no know the author. There is no discussion, no debate and no independent authority to give this authority. I am finding that this chanel attracts my attention with eyecatching headlines and now delivers this type of product. With respect listening to it has been a waste of my time.
