- Rick tells Amber he never wants to see her again. Adam hopes that Kimberly has finally given up on Rick. Tawny is determined to keep Amber’s marriage afloat, but Amber is disgusted by Tawny’s scheming. Brooke urges Kimberly not to quit modeling for at least a few days.

It's so strange seeing Brooke and Kimberly sitting next to each other on that plane and having a friendly conversation knowing their entire friendship is based on trying to break up Rick and Amber (and Brooke having to hide her engagement ring throughout the conversation).
@@annieo6527 As much as I think this season has done a better job of integrating storylines, I find this aspect hard to buy i.e. that none of "the kids" (Amber/Rick/Kimberly) suspect anything about Brooke and Thorne. Especially when they weren't even hiding it in Venice or on the Forrester jet!
@@NewYorkNick0607 yes, that is strange. Thorne and Brooke were really obvious on the plane. If anything, Kimberly should have paid attention because she would be aware of the situation with Macy, Thorne and Brooke.

It would have been better if she realised it on the trip and decided not to help Brooke with Amber anymore bc she felt betrayed that Brooke would be with Thorne behind macy's back
@@TriniT21 Right. And that would further explain why she suddenly decided to give up on breaking up Amber and Rick.
In episode 3223, I wrote that Tawny had a little bit of Sheila in her (her scheme to use Becky's baby was similar to Sheila taking Lauren's baby) and here she's advising Amber to threaten Rick with an expensive divorce which is _exactly_ what Sheila did to Eric when their marriage was falling apart. I also argued that Tawny was the devil on her daughter's shoulder and here Amber exorcises the devil: "You took an innocent girl and turned her into a monster!" Amber is basically saying she doesn't want to be a villain and the "division of labor" between her and her mother (see episode 3192) where Tawny comes up with and does all the truly bad stuff for Amber, means Tawny can take most of the blame and Amber can remain a Bad Girl who's not a Villain.
Yes! By getting rid of Tawny, Amber is trying to get rid of the evil within herself.
Still some of what she is saying doesn't ring quite true - she talks about how what they did was so terrible, but this was _already_ true a year ago, and has been true every day since. And yet Amber is only realizing the error of her ways now that she doesn't have a choice. It would have been more convincing, from a redemption point of view, if Amber had come to this conclusion on her own, when she actually had a _choice_ to keep the secret and remain happily married to Rick, rather than it happening out of necessity when Becky had already told her that she was taking the baby back.
As it is, Amber doesn't actually get to _sacrifice_ anything for the sake of what's right. She is only accepting the loss of what she's already lost - so she actually has nothing to lose by telling Rick the truth.
@@annieo6527 Absolutely. It's a very convenient moment of moral clarity for Amber and one she clearly wouldn't have had if Becky hadn't tried to reclaim her baby. I see Becky and Tawny as the two sides to Amber (angel and devil) pulling her in both directions and this time, Becky won out.

@@jonfoerster I don't think Connor has ever seen these later seasons so he wouldn't know who Amber or any of these people are. He said he started watching the episodes in order on the channel because of his mom.
Andrea( Tawny) and Adrienne ( Amber) became great friends while and after working on the B& B
Adrienne said of Andreas passing she was devastated and they were extremely close and she thought of her as mom.😢
Sure did and she is also close with Marissa (Becky), I've seen photos of her at Adrienne's baby shower years ago.❤
The way the show is written in those years were amazing.

I really stopped watching B&B after Stephanie died off the show. Then Ron Moss stopped playing Ridge's character. That was it for me. I watch it now here and there but not everyday like in these days. I was in high school and I used to set my VCR to record Y&R and B&B everyday because I could not miss one show. ❤❤
Ive never liked the Amber character but Adrienne killed it in this scene. Great acting.

Deacon Little Eric’s biological father comes to take him away because the courts awarded him custody.
She and Rick had been reunited and taking care of him
She cry’s and begs him “ You can’t take my baby” and falls to her knees as he walks out the door.
“ Oh God ,He took my baby” and she and Rick embrace while she is hysterically crying.

Amber did all of this and goes on to do more all on her own. Tawny may have been whispering in her ear. But amber made the conscious desicion to take that baby and present it as Rick's every step of the way.

Given how much growth Amber shows in these episodes, it's a great pity that she regresses so significantly by the time the Thomas and then Liam storylines come around. She repeats the same mistakes, except without any real remorse or regret. It's a case of a character being completely reconceived for the sake of plot development. It's disappointing because, for a time, she does actually become a likeable and redeemable heroine.
Brooke is one of those older women who hangs around with beautiful young girls like Kimberly hoping it will rub off.
Thorne would pick Brooke over young Kimberly even when she throws herself at him.

They all flew to Venice on the company jet, but Ridge Taylor Brooke and Kimberly all flew back commercial. Did anyone else catch that?
Probably because it would be way to expensive for the company plane to make so many seperate trips

That second time (2010-2011) the writing didn't even try to make Amber likable.

Certainly Amber cannot play the victim and put all the blame on her mother. She revealed the truth to Rick only because Becky was resolute in taking away her child.
I think Amber was going to tell the truth eventually because IMO keeping the secret was getting to her.
Another way she’s just like Brooke. Her self awareness and accountability level is non existent. Just like Amber blaming Tawny for what she agreed to, Brooke’s angry with Eric and Ridge for her choosing to kiss ridge
I agree it would have looked better if Amber had actually come to the conclusion on her own that Rick needed to know the truth, rather than being cornered into telling him because Becky was taking back the baby.
Amber is as delusional as Brooke but Adrienne makes Amber more likeable.

Is this the end of Tawny’s run? I think they could have made her a good rival for Brooke.
Maybe we're not supposed to wonder this but... did Amber bury Rick's son deep enough so that wild animals wouldn't be able to get to him? I doubt it. And that's just another thing that will keep Rick awake at night now.
Rick's not staying awake at night thinking about anything else but himself. If you listen to his entire tirade last 2 episodes, it's been about himself. He hasn't once asked where the baby is buried so he can give his actual son a proper funeral.
@@TriniT21 true! Talking about everything he's "sacrificed" - which is what exactly? He's still getting his education. He's living in Stephanie's mansion. He has all the babysitting he'll ever need (for himself and the baby). He may have missed a few college parties.

I cringed everytime he said the word "I"... Which was alot of times.
I guess we're also meant to believe that through his so-called "sacrifices", Rick has also matured into a selfless, decent and committed husband and father. If anything these scenes show that he's remained an overgrown, self-absorbed toddler.

Its just insane that baby steffie will be around the age amber is now....when amber pulls this on liam. And steffie will be in love with a man, her fathers age.

In 2000 Amber is going through the baby drama with Rick/Becky while Steffy is still a baby and Thomas not that much older.
In 2004 Amber will be the one Thomas loses his virginity to, while Rick will have some dates with someone in Thomas's age.
In 2011 Amber will try to pull this (fake paternity) with Liam again, while Steffy will be in love with Liam's father.
Maybe Brooke should go on !@# therapy with Doctor Drew..She could teach him a thing or 4..😂😂
