Easy tutorial.
Only point of criticism; perhaps just throw a QR code paper in the box so that parents can easily find this tutorial instead of wasting paper and printing out the instructions in a thick booklet. Also would recommend either adding the backless booster tutorial to the end of this video OR have a quick link pop up to direct users to a separate backless seat booster installation tutorial!
There IS a backless tutorial at the end of this video. (Or did they add it since you last watched?)
Great tutorial indeed. I love Chicco products like this too. I wish I could buy and have one of these colorful Chicco Kidfit car seats in any specific color they sell them in for use in the backseat of my 2020 Ford Edge but I don’t know of or have anyone out there that’s young enough to use it. Hopefully these are decently priced depending on where you go to buy them at. My former girlfriend Heather also has one of these in the red & black colors in the backseat of her 2020 Ford Edge for her young son to use and he loves it and he nicknamed the backseats in both of our Ford Edges “his kingdom” but her and I don’t see each other much anymore at all. Hopefully I’ll find myself a single girlfriend someday that has a young child who uses a Chicco car seat like this in his or her moms car and her and I can certainly share it by deciding who’s car to put & use it in as it does transfer very easily from one car to another. Most important thing about it is it’s always very safe for anyones growing child.
Thank you for this easy tutorial!
I’ve just attached the high back mode, and when attached as tightly as possible at the bottom, the top of the seat still can be pulled out a good 8 inches from the car’s seat back. Is this the way it is supposed to be? With their prior convertibles there was a back tether and there was no movement.
A booster seat is much different. In this case the vehicle seat belt is securing the child.
@@chiccousababyThere is no tether on any Chicco booster seats, am shopping for one and been eyeing this brand. I am always trying to educate myself on what I get my children when it comes to safety. Am concerned booster seats having no tether to keep booster seat from moving or else if there is an accident, hopefully never happens.
@@NancyHernandez-ks6kp A booster seat is used to properly position the vehicle seat belt on the child's hips and shoulder. In the event of an accident the vehicle seat belt is protecting the child and the weight of the child is holding down the booster seat.
Can this carseat be used without the latches? My third row only has anchors not latch tethers
@@KimberlyLehman Yes the latches are optional.
It’s very hard for kids to put the seat belt by themselves
So you can use the latch connectors when the child is over 40 lbs (which is necessary to even use this seat)?😊
@@Backwardspajamas44 Yes, the latches are used to keep the seat in place while unoccupied. The latches are also optional.
Hi. Can you remove the armrests after clicking them in? Or no?
Once attached the arm rests cannot be removed.
This is not approved for my Pacifica but will it work in a Toyota Tundra?
Hi! This sounds like a great question for our Customer Service team. Please call them at 1-877-424-4226 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (ET), Monday-Friday. Thanks!
It suppose to be lose? I installed this booster but, it doesn’t stayed firm. It moves.
This is exactly what I’m wondering.
Also wondering this. It has a lot more give than a car seat.
It's all over the place. Worse seat I ever bought.
Wait a minute. The manual says the belt near the buckle should be *over* the arm rest and this video says *under* both arm rests!?
Please refer to page 40 of the owner's manual - bit.ly/45i9lIU
@@chiccousababy on page 40 the shoulder portion goes *over* the arm rest on the buckle side. The video says the belt goes under the arm rest.
@@mfreedom1The photo on page 41 shows the arrows pointing under the arm rest.
@@chiccousababy interesting. My user manual is dated 08/22 and yours is from 09/20.
Mine is pretty clearly saying shoulder belt goes *over* buckle side arm rest.
My paper user manual is ISO221EF.CA_03.
@@mfreedom1 What country are you located in?
The seat doesn't tighten to the car seat. There's way yoo much play and iver tightened it as much as i can physically pull the strap. Is it supposed yo be like this?
The latches on a booster are only to keep the seat in place while unoccupied. It does not need to be tight to the vehicle seat
You probably figured it out by now or returned it, either way the key to make it snug to the seat is not to pull at an angle once clipped in on both sides. You need to pull from the front seat toward you, go in the front seat turn around and pull straight back till its snug, because if you pull at an angle it lifts the tension release latch, that was definitely a design flaw by chicco, them telling you it does not need to be snug is not true.
@@chiccousababythats a lie it needs to be tight to prevent the seat from flying out from under the child in case of impact.
@@chiccousababy your installation video clearly instructs the user to pull the front strap to tighten the seat snug.
@@Magic_Mirror_Music Yes, the straps can be pulled so that the booster seat is snug against the vehicle seat but the LATCH is only used to stabilize the booster seat and they are optional.
What if I don’t have anchors
Then the booster seat just sits on the vehicle seat
I hate this booster seat. It is so hard to remove and replace the fabric. I will not be purchasing another.
You "hate" it? That's an awfully strong emotion to use for a booster seat.
