A few people have asked whether the despawns can be done on co-op. Yes it can. You just have to have the two players in different despawn points. A friend and I did it on legendary and got both despawns. I went to the spot in the closet that’s shown in this video and my friend went to the new despawn point by the machine in the main room (which is way easier to do).
Could you please develop on the "newest" despawn spot?
@@pedromarquezdelgado210 There's a machine on the main floor of the room (on the side of the room where the enemies come up the elevator. As I recall, it's in front, and to the the left of the little ramp you spawn near. You stand on the far side of the machine, facing it.
Look for the latest LASO walkthrough by "Halo Completionist." It shows how to do it (I think he does it on the second deload......he does the old closet one on the first). BTW, he shows how to do the Jail deload in that video as well. That one is good. You eliminate the entire freeing prisoner's part of the mission.
If you don't find the deload there, just search for "Gravemind Deload" and I'm sure you'll find it being done by someone.

@@PRMarshall How come? Infinite doesn't look *too* bad. Still concerning, but it's still an attempt at a return to form.
Eli was the hero we needed, but didn't deserve.
You can go farther into the room and still get the despawn (I usually go until the door closes)

Haha dude I literally sat with a timer after I tried the despawn about 20+ times and took 30 minutes. I actually killed the first wave went on top with my duel needlers, and killed wave 2. I then pick up a carbine and just head shot the brutes with no helmet instantly and went on. In the part you have the brute come behind the door at the cover up top you just back up slightly duel needle him quickly and done!!! You finish off the rest of the carbine brutes all in 16:42 minutes instead of around an hour for doing the despawn haha. My point is if your looking for speedrun Naked Eli has your back but if you ain't got the skills to pat the bills then just try your best. I'd be sure to even make some videos to help decent players learn what to use in sticky situations.

I've tried this glitch so many times in all difficulties and it still does'nt work for me, something tells me this is just luck based

Unfortunately I don't think this trick doesn't work anymore, at least to my knowledge in 2018. I stand in the same doorway with the exact light pattern and only one wave is de-spawned. The other waves still spawn no matter where I stand.

I imagine that they look at the code to see what triggers the spawns, but I could be wrong.

+Deadmeet100 they can look at maps on Halo 2 Vista. It even has a map editor. But I don't think it was found that way, it's not even immediately obvious since it's such a specific spot to stand in.
It's easy to imagine how most of these tricks could be found accidentally from playing the game normally.

Xavier Sotelo No he just stands in a certain spot, and the game doesn't recognize that he's there. As a result, the game doesn't spawn in ememies.
