Because the artist wishes to convey who they are and what they stand for through their performance and their outfit is a large part of that in a live performance. I agree whole heartedly with Dannii and Foo in that kind of outfit with that song choice makes this conveyance too confusing, it affects how invested you are in their performance and for me personally I kept getting distracted by it.

But they must also consider more than just their vocal ability, their overall ability to perform up on stage is also important which Ronan obviously thought (and I agree with him) was lacking losing focus by the second verse. Having a good voice is all well and good, and I agree her voice was good (wouldn't say it was one of the best though) and happy she got through, but won't mean much of anything if you can't draw someone in and keep their focus which she failed to do with Ronan and almost failed doing with Foo until he closed his eyes. And like I said I too was losing focus during her performance

I agree with the judges and I agree that she got a great voice. This is an example to show that how an outfit can change everything. If I was a judge, my judgement would be just like Redfoo's. At the end of the day, she got talent, potential, a great personality and realized that she made a mistake, and I'm sure she would be better!

I think she has more x factor than some people who got through to boot camp. Mean i saw one guy, because hes got the looks, with a mediocre voice though, i was sure he wasnt going in but alas, he got through. She's like a diamond in the rough. She just needs to be likeable to the masses, and to the judges perhaps.
I thought she looked great and was a great performance - it is a singing competition Foo not a fashion parade, remember Dami who won last year who I loved and still support wore kitty kat tights and didn't make it through and was called back and won the show. Keep singing Jazmin not sure what happened or why you didn't make it through to the next round as they didn't even show the group performance :)
I have to say she has an amazing voice but i dont know what it is maybe she couldnt hit some of those high notes because she has a deeper voice but it sounded like auto tune alot towards the end! But amazing in the begging

Did the UK X-Factor say that about Sam Bailey (former prison officer) in 2013, who shows up for her initial audition and Arena Auditions Week 1 in black pants, sandals, and a leopard skin print sleeveless blouse? Now that was a fashion statement! Sometimes one has to just laugh out loud concerning the 'switcher-oo' attitudes going on with the judges, in particular the men. Let's think about this for a moment: the Australian girl is only 17, raised on her nan's farm, loves horses. This is a singing competition, not an interview for (please forgive the analogy) some sleazy adult film interview. The music industry moguls need to get a serious grip on what kind of message they are sending to young girls. And the Australian public can speak out later with more than a "boo!" in the moment. Nat: way to go to support this young girl. Perhaps it's because Nat's is a mom. But her comments are realistic.
Jazmin is one example where she can ignore the negative feedback from certain judges. Jazmin is a brilliant singer. With a voice like that, who cares a damn what she was wearing. It's her voice that matters... and its great.
