This isn't filler. Kishimoto himself wrote the novel that this episode was based on. Though the anime revised some of the scenes like Sakura giving Sasuke a haircut while they were talking about Sarada plus Sasuke and Sakura actually kissing just before Sasuke left again.

I like how some of the few happy moments he had as a child that’s stuck with him all these years he’s trying to recreate with his daughter and probably try and give her a better childhood then he had but he just doesn’t know how to do it. It’s adorable 🥰
