Anthony played a great game today and Ridley looked sharp in his return to the field. Loved it
Agreed, love to see Ridley explode back, dude seems like a solid person. Past is behind him. Colts fans should be very optimistic about Richardson
Colts definitely were stumbling the entire game.
AR needs work, his pocket presence is pretty bad, his play extension is bad, his accuracy needs work, he's reliant on his legs but can't do a whole lot with them do to the Colts Oline.
There is a large contrast watching him VS Lawrence.
However I will say he's got a great quick release, we all knew he needed development, I'm excited to see how he progresses throughout the season, and especially a few years from now.
Ultimately not a bad start considering how unpolished he is.
@@sKraat528honestly, from ridley’s preformance today, he could possibly get the CBPOTY
@@rsplays.Damar Hamlin will most likely win the award, would love to see Ridley in the conversation though.
@@ViolentMLG I agree with alot of what you said. Richardson is definitely still raw, sadly he missed out on a year of development in college thanks to Dan Mullens unwillingness to start him over a quarterback he was clearly better than. But I think Steichen will be able to maximize him, also he extended a few plays that I thought were impressive. 🤔
trevor lawrence ball placement is actually insane
He’s also reckless at times. That doesn’t bode well long term. Hopefully they’ll coach it out of him.
@@newagain9964he really isn’t he didn’t do anything reckless this game
I'd be reckless too if I were throwing to Engram, Ridley, and Jones.
@@newagain9964he literally did nothing that bad this game, the int wasn’t his fault , just unlucky
you're actually a dork
JAGS receivers were making some wild catches 🔥
Yeh because T Lawrence has that cannon
@@tynao2029it’s the accuracy 💪
jags most underrated team in the nfl.
Calvin Ridley is gonna help Lawrence take that jump to elite status.
Yea the Jags are gonna be a problem this year
I'm hyped
I love their receiver core
As long as he doesn’t do dumbshit behind the scenes 🥳
@@JblbluetoothhThey can be better than that current receiving core. By the way, college football is actually going to be loaded with receivers this season lead by the obvious one- MARVIN HARRISON JR🥂
Lawrence made throws that people would kiss Mahomes' toes for.
Facts, that second one to Zay was filthy, he still has to clean it up though, but I’m sure he will.
Zay Jones might not get the love he deserves, but that guy plays WR at a VERY high level.
Fr one my favorite players he’s overcame alot too
He may be better than Kirk tbh
Imo he was their best last year and I was saying in the off season that he's better than ridley, but imma hold back on that ridley take, cuz son was out there doing God wrk on them routes today 🤣🤣.. I guess I forgot how talented he was.
Big Facts!!!
@@bagoboy2446Nah kirk had better numbers.
Trevor just improves every season. Give him enough time and bubble wrap, I think my Jags can get their first Super Bowl victory.
I'm in Tampa & they're my picks. Idk about winning it but I think they'll at least b there.
@@richardmorris7063true
Richardson looked very good. Best performance of any rookie QB in this year's draft.
3:35 this play was amazing. Running back#1 ran fast to guard. That was AMAZING!! 👏
Should have given him the ball.
Richardson has potential, Colts Defensive was pretty solid as well. Game would've been a bit closer if Jonathan Taylor played
31 points solid
@@johndavidvanvalin y’all don’t even be watching these games just be saying anything it was a good defense of a game by the colts going for it on 4th at midnight and int gave them good field position
I meant mid field
Richardson played great for a rookie and his first game, dude going to be a good QB
@@nobytes2 lol. You're in for a rude awakening. AR is a crybaby. Defenses will key on him taking away the run he is not a QB.
The jaguars always seem to play great against the colts. Even when Manning was here,, and the jags were like a 4 win team. They always seemed to win one of the two games in the season. If they didn't win, it was always close. I think it's a pretty underrated rivalry.
Let’s go Jags ❤ we going all the way this time!
😂
All the way to a divisional playoff game
@@TYreLL0416don’t be mad. It’s been a long time since we had anything serious on our team. It’s our time now! DUUUUUUVAAL
Looks like the Jags receiving core with T-Law throwing to them could be dangerous!
trevor had some good throws this game, one of his best games so far, hope he continues.
I'm not even a Colts fan but I hope AR5 develops well. He looks promising and it's always fun to have exciting young QBs entering the league
I came away from this very impressed with Richardson. He showed a lot of grit out there.
Also, love for DeFo. Gotta love a Big Man TD. We miss you in the bay!
It wouldn't be a Jags win if they didn't make you sweat for it
the cardiac cats !
You mean like the 95’ Colts aka the cardiac kids😊
Man Richardson really suprised and impressed the hell out of me. Lawrence is showing everyone why he was the top pick of the draft. These young QBs are the real deal.
Jags looked good
3:36 Jaguars No. 1 proved he is faster than Ridley, and he can block Ridley to outside LOL
Trevor Lawrence was amazing.
Back to T Law brilliance Jags impressed last season hopefully they can do great this season
Lawrence is legit.
Omg..they gave Trevor a true number one receiver
Colts have a star qb again! Hope hes ok
1) Never bet against Calvin Ridley.
2) Someone teach Tank Bigsby the rules, please.
3) Richardson did better than expected.
Jags looking mean . Hard hits
Tevors very first completion shown is insane. Hes pressured and throws on the run, off one leg, across his body 35 yards down the field with near perfect accuracy.
That Zay Jones TD and the Buckner TD, neither deserve at least one replay? Come on NFL.
It's TOO bad we in Indianapolis are blocked from from watching NFL games due to a disbute with Netflix!
prime example of why the league should change how interceptions are counted, that should not be on trevors stats seeing as it was 100% on the rb
Although they lost. This is the better looking colts teams I’ve seen in a while….
these first weeks have been awsome
Raider here missing Zay. Good on u brother. This was a game 😅
I am so glad Ridley is back and off to a great start, he deserves that.
These idiots said Lawrence got 2 QB sneaks in a row when he CLEARLY was stopped 🤣🤦♂️
Richardson played surprisingly well for his week 1 debut. He's definitely gonna be a problem
2:05 Trevor Lawrence with an absolute L A S E R ! The game is clearly starting to slow down for him. So excited to see him added to the already long list of Elite AFC QBs
Agent Zero was the man today
Sucks AR5 couldn't get that last 4th down play in garbage time. However, them Jags made a great 4th quarter comeback. Looking strong for the AFC South!
It's going to be fun watching the Jags this year. They got some good playmakers, but i really believe that the team will travel as far as Trevor Lawrence will take them....
Hey Jim Irsay...please pay Jonathan Taylor
Awesome game to attend in-person! I was the only Jags fan in my section, so cheering for every big play for us made it extra fun. Great team effort to rally for the win. Both sides of the ball played excellent. T-Law was on-point and the running backs & wide receivers looked stellar besides a couple plays. 1-0 now. The only AFC South team to win in Week 1. We are going to have a great year, I can tell! #duuuval
0:51 man bro almost decapitaded the cameraman with that ball
Cam Thomas needs to be on team USA.
It was a mess of a game in the beginning for both teams but it finished like a true rookie QB team would.
Can the editor show more insta replays because there's some play I wanna see how they caught it
dang 10 straight season opening losses for Colts
DeForest Fuckner is hilarious 😭😭😭 7:33
Man Ridley like that fr he made 4 defenders fall😂😂😂
Im a texans fan and ive always been a realistic one. The jags are legit this year.
AR looked WAY more polished than I would have thought
Colts need to bench Alec and put in Winfree. Let’s JT show his ankle is ok and pay the man.
As a jags fan I do see Richardson and the colts as the biggest threat to the jags in the division. Great game
Nah. It's still Tennessee
I like how both teams was going 4th and whatever in the game lol 🔥🔥🔥
Great win for the Jaguars!!! Trevor Lawrence threw the ball for 241 yards and 2 touchdowns. Travis Etienne ran the ball 18 times for 77 rushing yards and a touchdown. Calvin Ridley caught 8 passes for 101 receiving yards and a touchdown
Proud of you Jags. Thanks for taking out the trash of the league. Dolphins fan.
We havent played the Titans yet but youre welcome. lol
@@TheRubiconRacer I actually pity them. One yard short has to hurt.
Did I see Richardson remove his wristband with plays on it and throw it at the sideline and run qb keep on 2 consecutive plays? Injuring himself in the process? It's as if he told the coaches to " foff I'm in charge.
This felt like a superbowl game. What a way to start the season.
Thanks editing team, I definitely didn't want to see that second TD catch by Jacksonville at all on a replay or anything like that
funny Richard threw away his first NFL touchdown ball LOL
As a Gators fan, Anthony Richardson will be the Colts worst nightmare. He has all the talent of Cam Newton, but he will always make the wrong throw at the worst time, he will get hurt a lot, and his talent will not equal wins. The Gators went 6-6 with him as our starter. In COLLEGE. His talent alone should have got us to 9-3 in college. I’m telling you, it doesn’t make sense, and you don’t want to believe me now. But in 2 years, after you’ve missed the playoffs twice and it’s not getting better, you’ll be scratching your heads too. For whatever reason, he’s not a winner. He doesn’t have “it”.
Did u watch the game? he did way better than lawrence. Lawrence almost threw 2 picks
@@gigglesandshitsshe didn’t play better than TLaw. He screwed the game away at the end, and TLaw got better in the 4th when it counts. You’ll see what I mean.
@@gigglesandshitssshow me one play from AR that was on the same level as either of TLaw’s touchdown passes.
Don't blame that on Richardson. Florida has an awful coach and is not set up to do anything. Florida so badly want him to be a bust lol.
He played clean today but I agree during the draft process I said he was just a lil better version of Malik Willis n ppl was getting mad
Richardson definitely had flashes of down field throws and more explosive runs than either Young or Stroud, who were both tentative (esp. Stroud) .... by far AR-15 is the best rookie QB thus far.
Im.happy but I need.this kc game love my jags
It’s was always the Jags! Duuuuvaaalll 🎉🎉🎉
Gg ar, gotta get more weapons on offense still rebuilding, looked like a sidearm on the pick so reset and make the throw instead of improvising ,little more p.a and ground game could help loosen up coverage, i like the back motioning from the los to backfield ,defense ran outta gas in the 4th but got good pressure during the game, congrats jags
I’m no Jag’s fan but Lawrence is the real deal. I’m big on him & Tagovailoa rn (I hope Tua can stay healthy) 👍🏾
Im loving the comments no ones throwing shade either way, AFC south for superbowl
I'm from Gainesville and we love AR but Duuuvaaaaal
you can bet ridley is locked in to ball out this year.
Colts needs that RB
Just pay the man
No Taylor.
Replacement RB 10-40.... (actually that was the QB, the starting RB had much lower rushes)
Just like the Vikings without Cook.
Half a team
Richardson has a huge arm use it. Like andrew luck with bruce arians. Almost only deep throw it was so fun to watch and it was effective they went to playoffs with that style. Even if andrew had a lot of interceptions
😂
They should consider moving Anthony Richardson to running back since he cannot throw the ball more than 10 yards accurately 😂😂😂
I think he played well for his 1st game ,He's Extremely raw he only started 13 games @ UF
@@bmblafamilia7761 should have stayed there and developed
Will post more or less the same comment on Colts fan site, after what I just stunningly saw here.
Did not see this game due to downtown bars somehow not having the NFL package - and I have missed only about 3 games over 20 plus years, even being down to Indy 9 times to watch the Colts play at Lucas Oil Stadium. But was more than content when I saw the update of the Colts having surged ahead of the Jaguars with less than 10 minutes to play, which kind of gave the hint that the rookie QB was getting the job done.
I would then see the Jags recapture the lead, 24-21 and then 31-21. Fine. But then, a foreshadowing of the disaster I would see here. The Colts getting down to the 2-yard line, first and goal, with about a minute remaining, where I wondered: would this be the year they finally are able, for the first time in some 40 years (going back to the Bert Jones era), that their offensive line can actually push people back when the opponent knows they will be running the ball. I quickly got my answer. Second down ... third down ... fourth down ... then the ridiculous pass attempt on 4th down from shotgun formation, no surprise incomplete. Then I saw the highlights, where turns out there were 2 other 4th and very short (including basically inches) that they were foiled on. Interesting to hear before they got stopped on the latter, with the score 7-7 and deep in Jags territory, the game announcer going that the new Colts head coach would do this often when with the Eagles as offensive coordinator, with Jalen Hurts as QB. Yes, but Hurts had / has an O-line that can actually move defences off the line when need be - like many other teams as well.
So, bottom-line: a game that was very winnable given the defence gave the team an opportunity to win, where, once again, the O-line let the team down. Hope Andrew Luck in particular was not watching this game. Not good memories for sure.
C. Ridley tht boy cold 🥶 welcome bk
Kinda funny how they pronounce Etienne. It should be [Ay-chen] instead of ETN 😅
Exciting game, all the way to the end!
Trevor lawrence my sweet prince prevails today
played super sloppy and still won by 10 thats a VERY good team
Love watching games filled with drama like this. Scriptwriters please keep'em coming
Richardson looked good he just gotta learn to slide. Not tryna see him go thru what RG3 did
Looks like there's another RB playing QB in the NFL now.
The color commentator needs to stop talking during the play by play
Its time to pay JT...Deon Jackson is the reason we lost this one
Whoever put this highlights package together - how could you possibly not show us a second angle of the crazy TD catch at 3:50 and the crazy fumble recovery TD at 7:30?
AR did awesome 👍
The colts use to be my team when they had manning, I wish they would’ve protected Andrew Luck better they probably would be contenders an Lucky Luck probably could’ve been a superbowl champion
If I hear one more "Uh oh. UH OH" while someone is running....
That was vilma lol. He kept doing it
Colts had this game wrapped. Fourth Q implosion did them in.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ I was on the edge of our bed tortials every where well worth it now who going to clean this mess😊😊😊😊😊😊
To say the least coming from a #Colts fan, I thought a Colt win would come out, but instead I’ll have a likely hangover for the first time since 2011.
Jacksonville looking nasty
Indy missed Taylor a lot 🤦🏽♂️
Anthony 🐐
Jags secondary has to sharpen up. That hurt to watch
Aint the first time ya heard it and it wont be the last:
DDDDDDDDDUUUUUUUUUVVVVVVVVAAAAAAAALLLLLL
That hustle from Etienne to get downfield and find someone to block at 3:33 was just beautiful. Not a picture perfect game but I love where the intensity level was at
Reminded me of Tim Dwight screaming down the field to make a block with the Oakland raiders in 2003
That's a good observation. I was there today and both teams were VERY intense. The Colts slung everything they had in this fist fight. But someone's gotta win
Good catch I thought it was ZAY Jones I hope the coaches highlight that in the film room
Seriously dude was MOVING
FACTS!! Maximum effort!
*Fun fact:* This was the first Jaguars win at Indianapolis since 2017
@Womens_Divisiondidn’t say anything about a home opener, simply that the last time the Jags won in Indy was 6 years ago.
