Hi. After seeing this video. I dared to try start keeping Caradina shrimp. I had a 64 L. tank with anscitrus and cherry shimp. Gravel for substrat and water at 590 Tds. I contacted a dealer some distiance away from where I live. He told me that i needed to. Empy my tank completly use shrimp soil and use osmosewater as i use to my reptiles tanks. Ad miniralsalt and get the TDS right just as you show in this video. So now I have my first Caradina shrimp. Thanks. Im from Denmark.
I keep cherry shrimps and Crystal red's together. I only ever use rain water with a Ph of 6.5. They both do extremely well together. Apart from the ph, I've never tested my water for any other chemistry.
Got my products from your guys website in the mail, and I am really impressed with the care I saw in the packaging. I also find it cool you guys throw in a little notice on who packs it for you, so thank you Amanda!
I haven't tried CRS yet but I am currently having a lot of success with tangerine tigers. My water is pH 7.4, GH 7, KH 4 and TDS around 200 but they are thriving and breeding in my tank for a few generations now. They are a really cute shrimp that are fun to watch.
Didn’t know you guys had a UA-cam got some healthy active ottos from you guys the other day another great order my cpds are stunning and all healthy as well. You guys rock.
Could you please address how to do water additions? If you add re-mineralized distilled water, you keep raising the GH, which I learned after emailing your helpful staff (thank you!). My question is, at what point do you add re-mineralized water instead of plain distilled water? Thank you in advance for your help and your videos!

No Water Testing, the less you mess with it the better.

Same! My tap is pretty hard and with ada amazonia v2 the ph stays nice and low around 6.5 which my fire red/bloody marys love. I got 6 "cherries" almost a year ago when I started the hobby and now have over 500 + like 300 culls / wilds with my set up

Hey captain, I'm in love with the Galaxy shrimp, I'm making a 5 gallon planted tank, If I buy that substrate you spoke of, and do the distilled water to 150, and have floating and submerged plants, do you think I'll be ok?
Sorry, one last question. is the Rio escuro-xf going to be sand sized particles, or bigger? I have sand in one of my tanks, and its just too fine I think.@@LupDiesel
When you say mix it in the distilled water bottle until TDS is 150, do you have to use it all at once or can you put the lid on and use it for evaporation top ups and water changes over time? Does it need to be that exact brand or would doing the same process work with Shrimp King Gh+? I can’t find anyone with it in stock in Australia
Minerals do not evaporate with water so since you lose pure water, you want to replace it with pure water (R/O). If you were to top off with the remineralized water, you’d be increasing the overall TDS. You can use the saved remineralized water for water changes, provided no evaporation has taken place as there would be an increase in the TDS. If there has been some evaporation, you can simply add more R/O water to bring the TDS back to 150…Any brand with comparable ingredients will work.
Ok, past ago, i have loss so many caridina shrimp, and at first I thought it always because the hot summer temperatures, but just month ago, I realize that tanks in Fishroom, only have maximum of 27 celcius..... Now I realize, the problem is not always with the rising temperatures, maybe I didn't provide enough oxygen, because I never use any aerator yet with my shrimps tanks?
I have a few questions, With that water how long should we do a water change? Minimum tank size for these shrimp? are 3 gallons enough for 10-15? Do I need to cycle the tank with this type of water? Thanks for your video.
I'm rather surprised they prefer a pH below 7 - isn't that rather harsh on their exoskeleton? Are calcium supplements a good idea? Or does that special substrate help with that?
I accidentally left a giant tape worm in my shrimp tank and now I can find it how do I rid the fish of tape worms without hurting my shrimps. Please help
