@@DavidPaulandBillT I'm thinking from what it sounds like, it has to do with who you real friends are, who would basically be there for you like you would for them, and how you then discover who the real ones are. Some parts of the song may sound vague, but it seems like in some parts he does imply friendship.
Yoseph In the hook he says, “No one ever said that you’d be right here, now I gotta be scared of my friends” so that makes me think that he’s anxious that the girl is there and also because his friends didn’t tell him that she was gonna be there

Omg! So far "way to go" "before" and this one "friends" are amazing!!!! Omg! I think this album might beat their first one!!! I love it!!! The lead single and the two first promo songs really put me off but these 3 songs mentioned above give me excitement for the other songs in album!!! Hope I love at least 3 more on this album!

I I think it's about the shock of two friends seeing each other after a long time... And the fact that maybe one of them still has feelings for the other (love, hate, regrets, etc)
Daniel Cabeza Narváez You almost got it. It's about a sudden breakup (hence "Straight down the line I watch you disappear"). "Before my eyes saw through solid air" means basically before he got over the initial heartbreak as "solid air" has been used in multiple songs to mean crying since when you cry it feels like you have solid air in your chest. His friends tell him just to move on ("they said that you're fine, that I shouldn't even care") however he somehow felt like she'd come back soon (hence "I got wise, sought to find you there") but she didn't which is why they "score some spice" (which can mean they bought some synthetic marijuana or he had sex with another woman; it's not too clear since he says "Paying back the ride" which hints at the sexual affair but also says "while they got high", which hints at the fake pot). He realizes his friends aren't really there for him as all they do is get high and he just begins to think about her. Some time after she does come back, despite what everyone said, both shocking and making him question his friends ("No one ever said that you'd be right here now I gotta be scared of my friends"). Well that's how I interpreted it at least. That's the beauty of music by these guys - the topics of each song are so specific yet still so vague and open for interpretation.

Has anyone here bought the physical CD? The reason I'm asking is that there's been something bugging me about the videos released for this latest album. I've been saying I think the sound is a bit muffled, and it is, but in addition to that the audio sounds compressed, or maybe it's just the frequency spectrum that is a bit different on this album. I have both the previous albums on CD and the audio seems much crisper. Can anyone verify or deny if the physical disc sounds a lot better? I'm considering if I'm going to buy it or not. I'm not entirely convinced.
