There were 3 musicians who were friends. Kelly the bassist, Aji the guitarist & Lok U the musical director/composer of this song. Kelly passed away unexpectedly in May 2019 while doing sound check for an event. Then Aji & Lok U decided to write a tribute song for Kelly. In the process of writing the song, Aji passed away 4 months after Kelly, leaving Lok U heart-broken. Determined to finish what they had started, he continued composing the song and that’s where we can see him playing the piano in the official video. That explains the heaviness of emotion we can hear from his playing. Unfortunately, the song couldn’t be completed as he passed away in the same manner, unexpectedly, about 4 months after Aji. They all died within 9 months. Their untimely passings explain the somber expression displayed by all the musicians wearing white in the video, who completed the song for the three of them.
First, I listened to the whole song by Hazama & Arwah Siti Sarah. Then, I listened from the piano even more heart broken. How deep was their love in their friendship revealed how much heart broken left behind especially the last one, Arwah Lok U... The deepest melody (sadness) I've ever heard... 😢
