Seunggie and Soomin will become good parents. They way Soo Min acknowledged Ga On’s feelings and apologized for not knowing how she felt gave so much sense security and affirmation on the kid. Seunggi giving her the first bite of the pancake gave Ga On the attention and consolation she needed. I can’t help but ship these two. They make such a good team.

Somin ask for forgiveness and let Ga On tell her how sad she is means that there is a discussion made here, to solve a problem and to let the saddest things spoken up by ga on (not being held into her hearts forever) . The adult know their position in a wrong way, yet she didnt make any excuses to ga on, she apologize for the mistake instead while playing soft with her hair. A lovely gesture is added representing that ga on is still loved, she wouldnt feeling abandoned at all bcz at the end, the adult spoke for their wrongdoings and seung gi make a good team up to give another special attention to ga on. I think thats why ga on feel relax again after the cookies scene. She feel relieved to spoke up whats inside her heart, somin apologize to pay her wrongdoings, and seunggi make up with special pancake. It will be a different story if somin make an excuse like they should be prioritizing the youngers and ask gaon to be patient and not be apologize. On a parenting note, in the future, scene like this will make ga on a vocal person with an open minded and without early judgement to others. Just my opinion.
In my deepest heart, I always wish to have those kind of adult in my life. To notice me when I lack attention and not make me feel I was left out, abandoned, ignored me. To come at me and apologize for accident not paying attention to me and come find me and say “there you are, where are you? Everyone looking for you.” If someone said that to me, I would feel very happy to know that i’m not useless and abandoned or leaving me for not being useful or not be whatever they want me to be.

Introvert girl and the eldest one always nice and don't to create such a chaos, but deep inside they feel abandoned. and I always feeling empathy towards this type of kids. I can relate this since I had experiences with my kindergarten kids. .Thanks to so min, she first noticing for the girl heart so much and say sorry. And seung gi too. They're so good. We need this type of adult to deal with child. They're so pure.
It doesn't have to be the oldest actually, bc i'm the middle child (+ introvert) and that happened to me. Always told by my parents to give in to my lil bro or older sis just bc i'm the quite one... The saddest thing is they never asked me how i feel about that. But fr i'm very glad the adults here asked Ga On what happened to her and listened to her feelings:")

I think it's really sweet of So Min to be so comforting, and to apologize too because in a way, she validated how the child felt. I've seen some parents who would rather laugh and dismiss the child's reason for crying as something completely silly.

Yes. A guy who is always out of the house, busy recording variety, commercials, movies, dramas, spends day kissing another hot actress and recording bed scenes, you can't go anywhere with him without being surrounded with gazzilion crazy fans screaming... That’s brought me back to when I was a kid.... this happened to me a lot, and nobody would realise why I would cry.
It’s not just about getting things, it’s about people paying attention, you think ahh I’ll wait my turn and they will realise that I haven’t got and give me, because you think adults are all knowing and the world is fair. Then you wait, and wait and wait and wait. And then an adult says wait your turn.... and you just give up and cry somewhere quietly because you think wahhhh I waited my turn, I was good and I wasn’t rewarded with anything, in fact I lost out. Then you think to yourself nobody can see me I must be invisible cuz it feels like people are looking right through you.

Hi there I would say that isn’t correct by any means, the part about those in larger families, in fact I’d say those in large families learn early on that we must make sacrifices for our siblings, and learn to wait and not be so demanding, I was second oldest of 4 children, I was born around the same time as my female cousins and there where 5 of us around my age, my lil sis the youngest, I was the second youngest out of the female cousins. everyone thought my sister and I where twins. Then my little brother was born and my aunts and uncles had kids at the same time. And I’d say many times I would sacrifice my wants and needs to please and satisfy my older brothers demanding nature ,my younger sister and my mother. I learnt to shoulder sacrifice and responsibility from a young age, obviously sometimes I’d feel upset about things when your young even if your conscious about your patience and sacrifice your making doesn’t make it easy to do. But yeah it’s difficult changing ones nature, I’m in uni now doing law and because my whole life I’ve been calm and considerate it’s difficult to start taking, for me its so against my being that I feel uncomfortable. I’d say it’s not true that you need to be forceful and just take in order to be valued and move forward. Taking is a very masculine trait, and the feminine of society must be equally valued and I do believe consideration and calmness are valued so I’m fine with becoming a bit more assertive but I value who I am also 💜

This really made me feel that little ache feeling when you’re about to cry because I’m so introverted that I can’t cry in front of people or else I’ll seem like a brat which makes me feel bad.
Honestly this whole comment??... Relatable. I hate crying in front of people bc I used to cry a lot when I was younger (as a result of my brother and I fighting and ME getting pinned for it even though he started it 95% of the time). I think after a while I just realised that nobody payed attention that I cried and by reaction no one cared for my feelings. So I just stopped crying, let myself be pushed around, and kept quiet all the time. I still do that as my default but now that my parents know abt it, whenever I'm really quiet when they're talking in a group discussion they always make sure to ask how I feel (which honestly makes me feel even worse). Sad that they have to that, feels bad man

I shed a tear watching this, the feeling of being left out can really get you even as a grown up. I remember that when I was around her age a similar incident happened to me except that no one came to comfort me, it became a lasting memory of my childhood so I'm glad the adults noticed and took care of her

you can tell how nice she is and how she tries so hard to make things right even though she's hurting, she's still a small kid so things like that can be pretty rough to her, but she managed to stay calm and even tried to not "ruin" the mood or worry others :(

I think it's bcoz So Min only gives extra attention and care to Yoo Jin the youngest that she overlooked that other kids needs care and attention too. While Seungi treats them fairly and equally. He loves all of them equally without paying more attention towards certain kids. That's from what I see from every episodes 1-11

No hate to Somin at all, I even watched this show because of her but both her and Mr. Lee have their favorite child that they sometimes overlooks the other kids specially Ga On. @Kayla Hashim I don't think I'm wrong. Kids when you pay extra attention to them, naturally they will like you more. If you've seen every episode, you'd realised that Somin will let her sit on her lap during meals time and feed her. But Somin seldom do that to other kids. Even a mother have their own favourite child no matter when a mother says they'll love their child's equally. I have a nephew whom very closed to me. No matter what his mom asked him to do, he'd definitely only listen to me. This is bcoz since he was a child I give him extra attention and love compare to his other siblings. Kids when you give them extra care and love, they will definitely love you and this can also leads to them only want your attention and care to be focused on them only. This is what happened to YooJin. During meals time Somin always sit next to YooJin and feed her. You can watch every episodes again. There's maybe one or two times that she didn't sit next to her. That time is when Seunggi or Na Rae is feeding her. And after this (next coming episodes), I think Somin will gives extra care/attention too, after the almost drown incident, as she might feel responsible and guilty about it. It's human conscience ..
Hany N you can tell from the first episode that Yoojin was attached to somin. also, I remember somin putting yihan on her lap when they were convincing him to let seunggi pull his tooth out. I've seen brooke on her lap too. the other cast members has a kid whose attached to them.

I had the same ice cream-experience with Ga on haha. My mother didn't bring me along to the mall and brought someone else's daughter instead. When I was walking my way home from school, I saw them in the cab and the other's daughter eating ice cream. When I finally got home, I changed clothes quickly then ran away to an isolated area in our neighborhood then cried XD. I wish I had my own Seung Gi back then :(((
Being a introvert myself as i grew up, i had so many moments like this when others were loud and i was usually not heard. And also when i cried i also tried my best to not tell anyone or make a scene, cause in my family they would rather just mock me if they found out and would call me weak and sensitive.
The kids are all ADORABLE! Ga On is so pretty and the Uncles & Aunts are THE BEST. Love this series, heartwarming and pure ❤️
