Not a copy, at that time Argentina had a Colt license to produce the actual 1911A1 which it did under the Sistema Colt 1927 denomination. The Ballester-Rugaud/Ballester-Molina pistol was an attempt to reduce and simplify production while keeping "some" compatibility with the existing 1911A1

The Ballester-Molina pistol is based on the Spanish Star pistol, only some parts are interchangeable with the Colt 1911.
Magazine, barrel, and guide rod.
Looks like the Colt 1911 model 1927 that I have that was made for the Argentine Army
