I buy the 2 pack of poly covered composition notebooks from Wal-Mart. They are $1.86 and 5 x 7.5. I wish the cover was cardboard but otherwise I love them.
Double side the covers with card, a good quality double sided tape will work on them. Part of the poppy things I do here in 🇬🇧 for Remembrance Day are small notebooks, probably 7 x 10cm, depending what I can get hold of that aren’t a ridiculous price some have card covers, others plastic and that’s how I stick the image on the plastic covers. Then some I do with just a poppy image, some that and a printed quote, some I do an image, distress the edges, cut & distress a quote, some I layers with nice paper and a smaller image, some I add glitter to…whatever mood strikes me when I’m doing them & how my body is behaving 😁 Have a great day!
If you do that, don’t forget the trick of just peeling (auto correct made that say peeing! 😂) back the tape just at the corner. Peeling back an inch/25mm/2.5cm and at a right angle. Then carefully line it up & when you’re happy pull the tabs & voila! Create to your heart’s content 😁 Have a great day 🌸🌸🌸
If you do trim down a ring spine use some good pliers, I wouldn’t try with my jewellery pliers and when you’ve cut it take a little sand paper or an emery board you don’t mind possibly ruining, to get rid of any sharp bits of metal 😁
