I an using the exact same paints but mine are not opaque...more semi transparent...I do have a lot of paint on my brush but its not turning out. What am I doing wrong? Maybe I'm pushing too hard on my brush, or laying it down too much...hmmm
I so appreciate all the hassle you must go through to put this out. It’s well done especially right now when we are bored to tears! I might be able to do this. I bought paint and thrift sale glasses quite a while ago but too chicken. I know it won’t be as easy for me but I can wash them and start over. Thanks!
What can I use as a guide to make painting on glass bottles easier whi h can be removed completely upon finishing please ? Also please can you do avideo on glass bottle preparation please . Thank you have a happy new year x
If you are painting on a piece of glass where you can tape a pattern on the inside or backside, that would help. Also, for glass preparation, all you need to do is wash with soap and water, and go over with rubbing alcohol. Nothing else is needed. Thanks!
Thanks for viewing!! I appreciate the kind words...Do you have a favorite flower to paint? Keep practicing....You will eventually get it... There are so many ways to paint roses too...There might be another design that will work better for you!
Thanks for reaching out. I used to buy mine from Old Time Pottery, or Libbey Glass directly, however, I think they filled bankruptcy. I am not a 100% on that. Sorry!
@@AmyRessa yes, I have the folk art enamels and I did clean the glass....maybe the paint I bought was old, although it works on canvas...Some of the paint stays and then things out. I've loaded my brushes as well. Maybe I'm pressing too hard??
Painting on glass is definitely different than painting on other surfaces. I would try less pressure. Do you double load with another color like white? I also love these brushes for single color painting: www.jillybean.net/store/p242/Glass_Art_Brush_7pc_Set.html ... You might notice a difference using them! A brush can make all the difference.... Some colors of paint cover better than others...You might even want to buy a cheap glass plate and practice on it until you get the with pressure figured out...Just a suggestion....Let me know if any of this works for you!
@@diandbsander2886 I am having the same experience 😕 I guess I have to buy brushes specifically for painting on glass but I can't imagine it would make that much of a difference....frustrating
Thanks for stopping to view my video! Are you new to painting glasses? What is your favorite design?

Absolutely! Go for it!!
You make this look so easy and for some reason I struggle with this and the leaves. 😢
It can take a lot of practice. I would get some waxed paper or play paper and just keep practicing. It is a matter of training your hand. Thanks!
Very pretty.
Thanks so much!!

VERY TALENTED!! How long did it take you to master your technique?
I have been painting for about 15 years like this and stenciled prior to that for several years...I am always learning and trying to improve...
Do you bake your painted glasses in the oven after they air dry for a few days? Apparently the baking is what keeps them safe in dishwashers.
I do bake most of them. If the paint is really thick, then I would air dry them before placing in the dishwasher. Thanks for your comment!

May I ask a good place to buy wine glasses wholesale?

I can't seem to get my paint to lay on the glass?

Why would anyone ruin such beautiful work with a dishwasher? It’s not that hard to wash by hand.
You can place them on the top rack of the dishwasher, but I do recommend hand washing. Thanks!
paint will fall off
Not sure what your are meaning by your comment? I still have the glasses and the paint is still on them.....Have you had bad luck with this paint?
@@AmyRessa it seems, someone told me it has to be cured, baked or something like it...
