Tony Kanaan and Dario are great racers in a way that goes beyond their victories on the track. They have the same appreciation for the history of the sport the Dan did. These are great racers, Tony, Dario and Dan. I feel greatly priviliged that I got to interact with all three of them on a professional level at some point in my life. These men truelly carry the Indy Car torch on from the likes of Andretti, Unser, Foyt, Ward, Rathmann and the like. R.I.P. DAN. We miss your love of Indy.
Your fans, friends, and family all love you and miss you and hate to see you gone. Every time I go and get in a car, go kart, four wheeler I do it in memory of you Dan. Loved watching you race and your personality. RIP Dan
what a beautifull way to say " Bye Dan " you are still with us .......smiling remebreing him...he has to be alive for ever in any racing fan a hug from Ecuador
Who the F*ck disliked this?? Dan was an incredible guy and his passing is something that of a legend. He was the biggest sweetheart I've ever met. You, who disliked this... I feel pity for how terrible your life must be that to make you feel better you can put down someone who's changed so many lives.
The oft-used term "bench racing" is used often when retired drivers get together to tell old stories of their careers. In a way, this memorial was a form of "bench racing" to remember Dan. These three drivers did their best to tell the funniest tales of Dan, to have that old fashioned bench racing atmosphere. This was days after the Wheldon funeral near the family home in Snell Isle, Florida, which was somber. This was a place to tell their favourite tales of their fallen colleague, and toast him with the greatest stories they experienced. Maybe that "Dean Martin Celebrity Roast" feel was too much for a memorial service, but the drivers "had at it" and were better for telling their stories.
@continentalrcinglg Im sure you meant NOT supposed to be somber events. Never the less, Im sure that most Brits would be embarrased at the glitz and glamor. I know its an American thing, but he was a British driver.
@biiarena Just because someone disliked this video in no way reflects their opinion of Dan Wheldon. I, for one, dont like this video because it resembles the acadamy awards ceremony. I think it is totally disrespectful of Wheldons talents and achievements.
@biiarena Im not sure that the disliked Dan, just this ceremoney. I didnt like it either. Its not the Oscars. Jokes, clapping, grand standing.....I was embarrased.
Rip Bob Jenkins and Dan Weldon. Two legends of IMS that are sorely missed.
I watch this every May to honor Dan Weldon he’s so missed Rest In Peace Dan Weldon white will always be your color.
Watched him during qualifications, never wanted a signature, but he was open to everyone.
I watch this whenever I need a good cry. God bless you, DW.

Not only has Daniel a great driver, but clearly also a great human being. Sadly missed. RIP Dan.
The look on TK's face when he mentions FedEx'ing Dan's shoes back to America is priceless

My prayers goes out to the family of Dan wheldon and a happy 10th year anniversary
They looked so sad.But the occassion was a great one.
Great times that: 7 Herta - 11 Kanaan - 26 Wheldon - 27 Franchitti. Missing days...
For me just seeing the guy he would already be my best friend
@BobAndGeorgia02 Right, because memorial services are supposed to be sad and somber. Dan was probably laughing along.

The president of Indycar is to blame for this race that should have never happened.
