GT40 heads are good on a budget....just add good valve springs aluminum AFR heads with good springs and rockers (1.7?) (weight savings! with aluminum heads) Raising compression ratio may require premium fuel I have in my car (1984 Datsun 200sx 302) a vacuum gauge right next to a AFR gauge....get a vacuum gauge....very cool info as you drive I am watching your build. I want to add aluminum heads (have GT40 intake and heads currently with Haltech fuel ECU) and a bigger cam....but may keep stock rods and pistons (no boost or nitrous)

I had a 406 sbc built it 08 by adams engine and machine he’s a solid Chevy guy I believe he’s even in the North Dakota hall of fame for stock car engine building , something like that, anyway that’s the same cam number he recommended I use in the 406 he was building, long story short I loved the street manners that it had now I have the same cam in a 327,350, and a 408 Chevy I built last winter that’s going to take the place of the 327, that’s my go to camshaft
This is the cam I have in mine. Would probably be worth checking out: lunati 10350703 voodoo. *Also very affordable 👍 1800-6200 RPM Operating Range 227/233 Duration at .050". 110 Degree Lobe Separation Angle 0.522"/0.538" Valve Lift
